The Nintendo Switch 2 port of 007 First Light will not arrive in 2026, as developer IO Interactive has confirmed that the upcoming release on Nintendo’s current-gen console has been delayed by several months. 007 First Light is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
007 First Light on Switch 2 Pushed Back to March 2027
Months after announcing that 007 First Light would arrive on Switch 2 in the summer of 2026, IO Interactive has stated on social media that that will no longer be the case. Instead, 007 First Light on Switch 2 now has a release window of March 2027, just under a year after the game’s May 2026 arrival on other platforms, with a more precise date coming later. IO Interactive explained that the main reason behind the delay was to optimize the game so it can run smoothly on Nintendo’s hardware. The dev also confirmed that the game’s Switch 2 demo that appeared at Gamescom will also be featured at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show.
