The unfortunate byproduct of being in this online era is games being delisted and made unavailable for purchase, which is set to include 4 PS5 titles when December 2026 rolls around. Many times, games are delisted due to licenses expiring, either with an IP or perhaps songs included within the soundtrack. Whatever the case may be, there’s a new list of PS5 games getting delisted starting next month.

Unfortunately for collectors and gaming enthusiasts, the industry’s shift to a digital-only format has left many worried. While digital storefronts make gaming easier and more convenient, digital game purchases are getting a bit riskier as games are quietly delisted, with companies like Sony holding control over what’s available to buy. In fact, just recently, 3 first party PlayStation games were suddenly delisted, leaving fans wondering what was going on. Thankfully, the games eventually returned, but it was a stark reminder of how things can change at the snap of a finger.

PlayStation Games Being Delisted

  • Synduality: Echo of Ada (December 18) – In-game purchases are being removed as the game transitions to a single-player experience.
  • Avatar: The Last Airbender – Quest for Balance (December 31) – Delisted for PS4 and PS5
  • Street Outlaws: The List (December 31) – PS4
  • Street Outlaws 2 (December 31) – PS5

With November now here, Sony is preparing players for a number of changes happening to online services for certain games as the end of 2026 approaches. While game delistings in years past have been extensive at times, the list for PlayStation in 2026 appears to be much shorter than usual. While many games are for PS5, there are also a few PS4 and even one PSVR2 game thrown in as well.

In terms of Avatar: The Last Airbender and both Street Outlaw games, it appears that the licensing for both games has expired and, without a renewal process, the games won’t be available to purchase after December 31, 2026. Street Outlaws developer GameMill confirmed the delisting back in October, which impacts the availability across all gaming storefronts, not just the PlayStation Store. In addition, anyone who purchases these games prior to the delisting can keep them in their library and continue to play them.

November and December PlayStation Game Delistings/Online Shutdowns

  • Destruction AllStars: November 25 (PS5 Online Services Ending)
  • Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble: November 21 (Mobile Delisting)
  • Synduality: Echo of Ada: December 18 (In-Game PS5 Purchases Removed as the game transitions to single-player)
  • Zenith: Nexus: December 18 (PSVR 2 Online Services Ending)
  • Avatar: The Last Airbender – Quest for Balance: December 31 (PS4 and PS5 Delisted)
  • Hotel Transylvania 3: Monsters Overboard: December 31 (PS4 Delisted)
  • NBA 2K25: December 31 (PS4 and PS5 Online Services Ending)
  • Street Outlaws: The List: December 31 (PS4 Delisted)
  • Street Outlaws 2: Winner Takes All: December 31 (PS5 Delisted)

Other games on this list, like NBA 2K25, Synduality, and Destruction AllStars are not getting delisted, but are losing online functionality. As with many annual sports games, they’re largely only available for a specific amount of time as new entries come out and the publisher is likely unwilling to keep the servers on for multiple versions in an attempt to push players to the latest one. NBA 2K25 will continue to have its single-player modes available, but the online components are being turned off. Synduality is transitioning to a single-player experience, so the online and live service-style purchases are going away, with Bandai Namco confirming that more changes are planned next year.

Curiously, Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble is a mobile title that was actually never officially released. The game itself has been soft launching in various countries, with many expecting a global launch to follow soon. As it turns out, that won’t be happening as Sony is pulling the plug on Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble.

Finally, in the case of Destruction AllStars, the former PS5 launch title from Lucid Games, was originally delisted back on May 26, 2026, but players could still access the game and spend any remaining virtual currency. On November 25, the game will be going completely offline, which will render most content unplayable, including much of the “single player” content outside a few arcade challenges.
