7 Days To Die: Hardest Zombies, Ranked

Players can expect some truly horrifying and dangerous zombies in 7 Days to Die.

Whether it’s weapons, armor, books, or vehicle parts, there are lots of items that sell for a large amount of Dukes. Selling the right stuff to one of the traders can help to maximize a player’s Dukes while also helping to level up the barter skill. With that in mind, this article aims to let players know what the best things to sell are.

8 Gold, Silver, and Diamonds

An Obvious Moneymaker

In order to start mining diamonds, the player will need to have found the Art Of Mining Volume 1. Once that has been read, making money from the trader is pretty easy. Each one of the rare materials stacks up to 250. So, they don’t take up much space at all in a player’s inventory.

This tip isn’t really useful for new players, but as the game goes on, selling gold, silver, and diamonds becomes a really good way to make some extra Dukes.

7 Plastic

Easy To Find, and It Sells For A Fair Amount

Plastic can be found all over the place. Items like vehicles, blinds, and school chairs provide players with plastic. Since plastic can be found quickly and easily, selling it to a trader is a good idea for getting some extra Dukes.

It can be sold in fairly large quantities, so if a player has an abundance of plastic, then selling it all to the trader can net them a nice payout. Like with all sales in this game, the amount of Dukes a player will receive depends on the player’s barter level and various consumables that can impact sale prices.

6 Mechanical Parts

Make Lots Of Dukes With A Wrench

Salvaging is a major part of 7 Days To Die. Items such as air conditioners and gas pumps can be taken apart using a wrench for the chance to get some mechanical parts. Mechanical parts can also be found inside crates in Working Stiffs.

Mechanical parts are fairly valuable and can be sold for a decent profit. This is especially good after the player has survived the first couple of weeks, as they will need plenty of mechanical parts on hand to craft various important things like a bike and certain defensive structures.

Picking the right perks will not only make playing 7 Days To Die a lot less stressful, but much more rewarding.

5 Electrical Parts

The Wrench Comes in Very Handy

Similar to the previous entry, using a wrench to dismantle certain items will give the player electrical parts. Items that can be taken apart for electrical parts include:

  • Street Lights
  • Sedans
  • Cash Registers
  • Air Conditioners

During the early game, players won’t need to use electrical parts all that often, making them a great thing to sell early on. It is important to note that players should hang on to a few electrical parts, just in case they may need them. A good rule of thumb is to sell all but 10 when it comes to things like electrical parts.

4 Known Recipes/Perks/Books

Once A Recipe is Learned, Sell For Profit

As time goes on, duplicate recipes, perks, and books become more common. Players shouldn’t ignore these items. Instead, they should pick them up and sell them to a trader.

While the value varies based on the type of recipe, plan, or book, they are always worth selling for a little extra cash, especially if the player is fairly close to a trader or has a vehicle that they can use to get to the trader.

However, if the player is in a game with friends, then it may be better to share known recipes with others. Helping friends learn new recipes gives players a better chance at survival.

3 Unwanted Armor/Weapons

There’s No Point Hanging On To Unwanted Weapons And Armor

Weapon components can be combined to make more powerful guns. The same applies to armor pieces. Once a player has gotten a specific weapon or armor piece up to max level, it may be worth selling any extra pieces to a trader.

Like in most games, weapons and armor are typically very valuable. In 7 Days To Die, they can be sold for a hefty amount of Dukes. So, when it comes to spare weapons, weapon components, or armor pieces, sell them to one of the traders.

2 Leather

A Pretty Valuable Item That’s Easy To Come By

Leather can be obtained from breaking down things like office chairs. That said, the best way to farm leather is by killing and skinning animals. Just be sure to use a bladed weapon like a knife or machete to skin an animal.

While players can use a regular axe to get leather from a dead animal, using a knife awards the player more resources, and more resources equal more Dukes. The player can also skin zombies, but they won’t receive any leather.

Animals that can be killed for leather are:

  • Rabbits
  • Boars
  • Bears
  • Zombie Bears
  • Zombie Dogs

1 Brass

Sell Excess Brass To Maximize Dukes

Brass is seen as a basic crafting resource. There are lots of other survival games that use brass as a core crafting component. Players can get brass from dismantling things like faucets, cars, trash cans, ammo, and more. It can also be found in various loot crates.

While it isn’t the most profitable item in the game since it is very easy to come across, it is a nice way for players to make a few extra Dukes. Selling brass works just as well in the first week as it does in the twentieth week.
