A new Bluey game has just been announced at the latest Xbox Partner Preview showcase. Since its premiere in 2018, Bluey has become one of the most popular television programs, especially after its arrival on Disney+ in 2020. Despite not being marketed as aggressively as some of the streamer’s blockbuster shows, Bluey shot to the top of the service’s available shows and has maintained that momentum in the years to follow. Notably, the Season 3 episode “The Sign” premiered to over 2 million viewers across two national broadcasts and was viewed over 10 million times in its first week on Disney+.
The show’s popularity has also helped it expand into a massive multimedia franchise, with books, merchandise, and even a live stage show based around Bluey’s adventures. The series is also set to receive a computer-animated theatrical film, which will arrive on August 6, 2027. Bluey has also received several video game adaptations, with the franchise’s first console game, Bluey: The Videogame, releasing in 2023. The franchise also saw a prominent collaboration with Minecraft, with a new set of content based around the cartoon series.

Bluey’s Happy Snaps Brings Photography-Based Adventuring Later This Year
During the latest Xbox Partner Preview, the newest Bluey game, Bluey’s Happy Snaps, was announced alongside a new trailer. No developer was revealed for the project, although Gameloft will handle publishing duties. The game will arrive later in 2026 and will be available on current and last-generation Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo platforms, as well as PC through both Steam and the Epic Games Store. It will also be an Xbox Play Anywhere title, and it will be available through the Xbox Game Pass service.
In the game, Bluey and her sister, Bingo, go on a brand-new adventure and use their father, Bandit’s, camera to take pictures of their journey around the neighborhood. Players will look to have the best day ever with Bluey and Bingo, exploring locations from the show, taking pictures of Australian wildlife, and even experiencing different “Play for Real Life” activities. The trailer demonstrates some “Play For Real Life” activities, including Splash Tag in water jets, and Keepy Uppy Volleyball at the beach. These pictures are recorded in a scrapbook that includes hundreds of unlockables, and players can decorate and draw in the scrapbook as well.
The announcement of Bluey’s Happy Snaps showcases the enduring popularity of the Bluey brand. Even though the latest season ended in April 2024 and viewers have not received any news about a fourth season yet (especially with creator Joe Brumm stepping away from the series), Bluey continues to see incredible acclaim and success from audiences of all ages. Despite being a show designed for preschool children, its success has endured with older audiences as well. With such continued love and adoration, it’s not surprising to see another video game arrive this year.
Bluey’s Happy Snaps may not be the flashiest game Microsoft showcased at the Xbox Partner Preview, but it should still serve as a nice, cozy game for families. The game captures the aesthetic of the TV show in a way that feels very faithful, and its simple gameplay loop should make it accessible for gamers of all kinds. Bluey’s Happy Snaps will not be the only game fans of the cartoon will have to look forward to this year, as the mobile title Bluey’s Quest for the Gold Pen will arrive on consoles on May 28. Bluey fans young and old will thus have plenty of gaming goodness to look forward to in the next few months.
