Apex Legends isn’t your typical Battle Royale game, primarily due to its extensive roster of Legends, each equipped with three distinct abilities. Add to that their unique Class skills, and you’ve got a game that can puzzle even the smartest of players. Fortunately, the game does a good job of addressing any questions you might have about these features.

A stretched resolution can help you aim better in Apex Legends, and here’s how you can play with a stretched resolution.

All Currencies and How to Get Them

Apex Legends features four currencies; however, one of them is more like a resource. Thus, you should focus on the first three currencies.

Legend Tokens

Legend Tokens are the primary currency in the game and also the most important one, especially if you don’t prioritize superficial items like cosmetics.

The mentioned currency can only be earned by increasing your in-game account level; you can’t acquire it through real money transactions. It can be used to purchase specific Legend and Weapon skins. However, its most important use is to help you permanently acquire Legends, meaning increasing your level should be your first priority, so you can expand your roster.

One well-hidden use of Legend Tokens is that they can be used to reroll daily challenges.

Crafting Metals

Crafting Metals serves as another currency enabling players to craft specific cosmetic items. They aren’t automatically awarded during gameplay but are instead acquired through Apex Packs or within the Battle Pass. Additionally, completing certain events can reward players with this resource.

This currency can be used to purchase various Legend and Weapon Skins, Finishers, Banner Cosmetics and Stats, and more. However, they’re not usable for acquiring premium cosmetic items, nor can they be purchased with real-life currency.

Apex Coins

Apex Coins represent the premium currency within Apex Legends. The primary method of acquiring them is through real currency purchases or by advancing through the premium Battle Pass. Nevertheless, a small quantity of Apex Coins can also be obtained via the Free Battle Pass. So, technically, you can save up a decent amount of this resource by completing the Free Battle Pass over multiple seasons.

Heirloom Shards

Heirloom Shards stand out as the rarest and most coveted currency in the game, ironically you can’t purchase it. These Shards can only be obtained in two ways: via Apex Packs or during specific Collection Events.

Their sole purpose is to facilitate the procurement of Mythic Items such as Legend’s Heirlooms and Prestige Skins. No other items can be purchased using these Shards.

Players are guaranteed to receive Heirloom Shards from Apex Packs after opening 500 of them.
