Of all the many things to do in Forza Horizon 6, collecting treasure cars is one of the most enjoyable. They can also be very tricky to find if you don’t understand the clues you’re given to track them down. Forza Horizon 6 launches with nine new treasure cars, and each is parked somewhere on the massive Japan map. You’ll need to use context clues given to you by photos of where the cars are in order to locate them. Naturally, you can also skip the scavenger hunt and use our guide, which details where to find each of them.
Where to find all treasure cars in Forza Horizon 6
Note that there are nine regions (not counting the endgame Legends Island) in Forza Horizon 6, and there’s one treasure car in each of those regions. You can find these in any order; it just depends on the direction you choose to take in the open world.
When the game prompts you that you’ve received a treasure car photo, it means you’re in the right region to find it, and you’re likely even pretty close. You could switch to drone mode by pressing down, then up, on the D-pad, which helps you scan the land more quickly. You could also just buy the game’s Treasure Map via an in-game real-money purchase.
But why do all that when you could use our free guide instead? Here’s every Forza Horizon 6 treasure car and where to find them.
1991 Nissan Figaro – Tokyo City
This may well be the first treasure car you find, as you’ll begin your journey in Tokyo City. You can find the Figuro in a parking lot at the southern end of the city, near the water where several bridges run almost parallel to one another.
1987 Porsche 959 – Shimanoyama
For me, this was the hardest to find of them all. The photo clue doesn’t leave you with much, only revealing this Porsche is parked next to a gas station, the likes of which are seen often in the game. I eventually found it in the middle of a busy junction of roads just near the Narai-Juku Circuit road race, which may or may not already be on your map.
1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale – Sotoyama
Way up north in the snowy mountains of the game’s map, you’ll find this bright red Lancia parked near the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route speed zone.
1969 Dodge Charger R/T – Minamino
As the photo hints, the Charger is hiding near the golf course in the Minamino region, but it’s a big course. You’ll find it about halfway down the course behind a shed, and parked right next to the Airfield Trail dirt race.
1981 BMW M1 – Hokubu
The flashy BMW M1 is found near train tracks leading into a tunnel. It’s northeast of the colorful field of flowers on your map and just southeast of the Hokubu street race. If you drive along the train tracks, you won’t miss it.
2005 Ford GT – Nangan
The Ford GT was the first one to give me a hard time, and sent me down the path of obsessing over the rest of these treasures. It’s a bit off the roads of the game’s map, not even to be found on a dirt road, though it’s essentially on a path of sorts. You’ll find it overlooking the water in the far southeast of the Nangan region.
1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE – Ohtani
The RX-7’s photo clue reveals that it’s near some red signal towers, though there are quite a few of these in the region. The particular tower you’re looking for is on the western edge of the Ohtani region, with the Mazda parked in an open plain near not one, but three red towers, as well as a bigger white one.
1995 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III GSR – Takashiro
This awesome Lancer gets points for being hidden in the most scenic location, stashed away at the base of a waterfall, and just north of the Temple Run-Up speed zone. I used the drone for this one, as this sprawling region felt intimidating to do on four wheels from the get-go. Once the drone spots the car (or anything of interest, for that matter), it’s marked on your map, making it easy to head over and obtain it.
1985 Nissan Safari Turbo – Ito
The Safari truck may or may not be the last one you personally add to your collection, but it’s listed last in the Treasure Car menu, so we’ll call it a finale of sorts. You’ll find this big fella in the north of the Ito region, on a dirt road right next to the Turbine Trail drift zone and southeast of the awesome Azure Drive danger sign.
Once you’ve located all nine of the cars, you’ll unlock an in-game emblem for your player card and an Xbox or Steam Achievement–plus you’ll have added all nine cars to your garage without spending a dime.
