This led them to ask their dad what they thought each villager’s name was, and the responses were hilarious. While the names themselves had no specific reference, it seems the father just gave random answers like Maria, and Tina. However, another character also got the name “Also Maria” which made the post even funnier. They did get Shep correctly, but the other names gained funny comments from the Reddit community. With how cute the Animal Crossing villagers are, it was likely that the father just came up with on-the-spot names, like renaming Fauna the Deer to Barbie, which sounds like a derivative of Disney’s Bambi.
