Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour is a worldwide event dedicated to everything Dragon Ball. Celebrating the festival’s sixth year and anime’s 40th anniversary, Dragon Ball Battle Hour 2026 will be held from April 19 to April 20, in Los Angeles, California. Even though the event focused mainly on the video game side of things, it’s not unusual for news on the anime and manga to be announced during the Battle Hour, and this year’s event promises some big updates on Dragon Ball‘s future as an anime.

Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 is set to offer more information on the hotly anticipated Dragon Ball Project AGE 1000, as well as cover the official card game, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle, Dragon Ball Legends, Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra, and Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. More important than anything else, though, Dragon Ball Battle Hour 2026 will finally offer new information on the upcoming Dragon Ball Super: Beerus anime. If we’re lucky, we might even get confirmation that Toyotarou’s Dragon Ball Super manga is officially coming back from hiatus.

Dragon Ball Battle Hour 2026 Will Finally Offer More Details on Project Age 1000

Dragon Ball Project AGE 1000 will be heavily featured at the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 event. According to the official Dragon Ball site, “The latest info on AGE 1000, a new game project, will be announced during the Battle Hour Times onstage event!” Very little is known about AGE 1000 at the moment. Fans have speculated that the game could either be a reboot of Dragon Ball Online, or secretly be Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is one of the main events in Battle Hour 2026, so it’s possible that Bandai Namco intends to keep supporting the game alongside AGE 1000. If this is the case, AGE 1000 being a reboot or remake of Dragon Ball Online seems far more likely than another Xenoverse sequel. AGE 1000 stars a new main character designed by Akira Toriyama, and is described as “A brand-new Dragon Ball game” starring “entirely new main characters.”

The title alone implies that the game will take place in Age 1000, an important year in Dragon Ball Online‘s timeline, set 216 years after the end of Dragon Ball Z. AGE 1000 could very well be Akira Toriyama’s way of bringing Dragon Ball into the future and reconciling forgotten lore from Dragon Ball Online, without spoiling the rest of Toyotarou’s Dragon Ball Super manga.

Dragon Ball Super: 6 God-Tier Forms With the Potential to Beat Black Frieza

The Z-Fighters now have incredible transformations that have the potential to grow even stronger by the Black Frieza Saga, and kill Frieza for good.

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus was announced alongside Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol at Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri this past January. While Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol is still in active production, Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is set to premiere this Fall on Fuji TV. Dragon BAll Super: Beerus has been featured in the promotions for Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026, so it’s possible fans might finally get a release date for the anime remake.

9 Dragon Ball Characters With The Most Unearned Power Ups

By the end of Dragon Ball Z and throughout almost all of Dragon Ball Super, characters are growing stronger through power-ups that defy all logic.

There will be a panel specifically on Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, which the Dragon Ball Official Site states, “will reveal the latest info about the anime.” Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is a full-blown remake of the Battle of Gods arc from the original Dragon Ball Super anime, cutting out the story’s filler and punching up the animation with redrawn scenes and much stronger art direction. Hopefully, Dragon Ball Battle Hour 2026 will reveal Dragon Ball Super: Beerus‘ release date, as well as final episode count, before confirming more remakes of future Dragon Ball Super story arcs.
