The next big update for the PlayStation Plus subscription service is right around the corner, with new games making their debut on the Extra and Premium tiers and some notable titles making their departure. The monthly update for the Extra and Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus typically happens around the middle of every month, but subscribers to those tiers also get access to the free games added at the beginning of every month as part of the Essential tier.
The free PS Plus games for April 2026 are available now for subscribers to claim no matter which tier they’re signed up for. The April 2026 free games are headlined by the Soulslike game Lords of the Fallen (2023), joined by Tomb Raider 1-2-3 Remastered, and Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream. PS Plus subscribers have until Monday, May 4 to snag those games for their digital libraries. Anyone that claims them in time retains access to the games for as long as they are subscribed to PlayStation Plus.

New monthly PlayStation Plus games! Sony is always adding goodies to its subscription. The April 2026 PS Plus games have been revealed.
Games available on the Extra and Premium tiers, meanwhile, cycle in and out of availability, similar to Netflix or Xbox Game Pass. In any case, there are seven games coming to PS Plus Extra in April 2026 in the form of Football Manager 26 Console, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, Monster Train, Squirrel with a Gun, The Casting of Frank Stone, The Crew Motorfest, and Warriors; Abyss. It’s worth pointing out that while PS5 gamers are getting Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, those on PS4 will technically be getting Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition instead.

Premium Tier
As far as the Premium tier goes, those signed up for the most expensive version of the service will be getting access to everything coming to the Extra tier, plus Wild Arms 4. Wild Arms 4 is an RPG that was originally released in North America in 2006 for the PlayStation 2. It earned mixed reviews from critics, but since the other Wild Arms games are a part of PS Plus Premium, it’s still nice to see it added.
PS Plus Games Leaving in April 2026
- Dave the Diver (PS4/PS5)
- Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories (PS4)
- EA Sports PGA Tour (PS5)
- Lost Records: Bloom & Rage (PS5)
- Spitlings (PS4)
- TowerFall Ascension (PS4)
The new games coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium are the main reasons why April 21 is going to be a busy day for the service, but the day is significant for another reason as well. That same day, PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers are losing Dave the Diver, Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories, EA Sports PGA Tour, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Spitlings, and TowerFall Ascension. It’s especially sad to see critically-acclaimed games like Dave the Diver and TowerFall Ascension get removed, so anyone interested should be sure to play them while they still can.
