Embark Studios announces a special and surprising collaboration with Subway, offering players unique cosmetic rewards in ARC Raiders through participating stores in the US. After moving away from big monthly updates, things have certainly slowed down for ARC Raiders, even with smaller updates continuing to make improvements.
While the lack of big monthly updates has certainly disappointed more than a few players, it hasn’t stopped Embark from not only continuing to add quality of life updates at a much faster pace, but new limited-time events have also appeared more frequently. A recent ARC Raiders update kicked off part 2 of the ongoing Phantom Targets event, while also changing when map conditions appear, moving away from a global schedule to one that shifts peak hours to match regional playtimes. However, the latest announcement for ARC Raiders has seemingly left many in the community divided.
ARC Raiders and Subway Collaboration Details
In a surprising announcement, Embark revealed a new collaboration event happening with the fast food chain Subway. The limited-time collaboration begins on August 20 at participating stores in the US and running through October 26. Players who purchase a 6-inch sub, Footlong, salad, or wrap will get a unique code that can be redeemed to unlock unique rewards and cosmetics for ARC Raiders. While ARC Raiders has plenty of cosmetics already, the Subway collaboration offers the “exclusive” Subterranean Outfit as well as 3 variant outfits.

As expected, the Subterranean Outfit features a raider sporting green and yellow accent colors, based on the primary colors of Subway, as well as other small details like a wrapped sub secured to the front of the outfit. Qualifying purchases will unlock the Subterranean Outfit as well as 1 of 3 “pre-assigned” reward bundles, which include Subway-themed color variants for existing ARC Raiders outfits of Astrolite, Nascosto, and Rawhide. The bundles also come with 1 weapon like the Renegade II, Canto II, or Osprey II, as well as support items like 2 Medium Shields, a Tactical Mk. 2, and 2 Surge Shield Rechargers.
It’s worth noting that each week cycles a new bundle of rewards over the course of 8 weeks, so players who save a code for a new week will unlock that specific set of rewards. As such, players can potentially receive a duplicate bundle of rewards based on when codes are redeemed, with Embark encouraging fans to take a peek at the weekly schedule to find out which bundles are currently active to avoid earning duplicate items.
Unfortunately, the reaction to the collaboration hasn’t gone down well with many in the community. Comments under the main post are negative, with many disappointed in the announcement calling the collaboration one that no one asked for, while others are frustrated it is only available in the US. Others continue to call out Embark for focusing on this rather than prioritizing fixes for various issues that have plagued ARC Raiders.
The other big element is that many fans are ready for something new within the game. While a live service team has continued to make smaller updates and added new limited-time events, it hasn’t been quite the same as what fans got earlier in the game’s life cycle with major monthly updates. However, hope appears to be on the horizon as October 8 brings the Frozen Trail update to ARC Raiders, a massive new content update bringing tons of new things to dig into, including the biggest map that the game has seen to date.
