Embark Studios has finally pulled back the curtain on ARC Raiders‘ next big update, Flashpoint, which is set to arrive for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on Tuesday, March 31. A new blog post from the studio reveals tons of new content is on the way in ARC Raiders‘ next patch, including a new ARC enemy, two new weapons, a new type of major map condition, and much more.

Back in January, Embark kicked off the new year by revealing the official 2026 roadmap for ARC Raiders and announcing four major content updates: Headwinds, Shrouded Sky, Flashpoint, and Riven Tides. The first of the bunch added a controversial 1v3 matchmaking option, as well as a Buried City-exclusive map condition. Embark then ramped things up last month with Shrouded Sky, which brought a new Hurricane map condition, two deadly new ARC enemies, and more. While there’s still another month left to go until Riven Tides, which will adds a new map and large ARC enemy, the Flashpoint update is set to arrive this week, and there’s plenty to look forward to.

ARC Raiders Dev Acknowledges ‘Strong Appetite’ for PvE Content

ARC Raiders developer addresses the ongoing debate surrounding PvP and PvE and says there’s a “strong appetite” for the latter.

ARC Raiders Unveils Big Flashpoint Update

With the release date for ARC Raiders‘ big Flashpoint update set for Tuesday, March 31, Embark has now pulled back the curtain and revealed all of the new content coming to the game this week. One of the most signficiant additions in Flashpoint is the newest type of map condition: ARC Operations. According to Embark, there will be less loot available around the map, but a new ARC Assessor can be found on the map with an “unprecedented” number of ARC patrolling it. The Assessor will seemingly have some high-value loot hidden inside, but players will need to bring their best gear as they go up against ARC and fellow Raiders.

After adding two new ARC enemies to ARC Raiders in last month’s update, another deadly foe will soon be seen Topside, the Vaporizer. It’s unclear if the Vaporizer will be present on all maps and conditions, as Embark says the new flying ARC type “has been spotted stalking the areas around the operation.” As you would expect from the name of the new ARC, the Vaporizer features devestating laster attacks idiosyncratic attack patterns. After the Firefly and Comet, players are once again going to have to gear up to take on another massively deadly ARC.

Speaking of ARC enemies, Embark has confirmed that ARC Raiders‘ deadliest enemy is leaving the confines of Stella Montis. After somebody left the doors open, the Shredder will now be available on Blue Gate, Buried City, Spaceport, and Dam Battlegrounds during map conditions.

For the first time since launch, Embark is also adding two new weapons to ARC Raiders: the Canto, a submachine gun that uses medium ammunition and gives players a fighting chance against ARC in close quarters combat, and the Dolabra, an energy shotgun that features a variable focus allowing players to fire off a wide burst or a focused funnel of electricity. There’s also the new Surge Coil item, a deployable device that periodically electrifies its surroundings, shocking anything that drifts into its orbit.

Fans can also expect some significant improvements to crafting that aims to streamline the process of making a loadout. When crafting, Raiders will now be able to fulfill missing materials directly, reducing time jumping between tabs. Whenever there are materials missing, players will be presented with a list of available sources, letting them recycle, refine, or purchase in a single window. Plus, Scrappy is set to get a new update, as players will now be able to feed the rooster and increase the types of loot Scrappy collects. He will also drop more valuable items as long as players continue to feed him.
