Ubisoft releases update 1.1.10 for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, continuing to fix issues while adding some highly requested features and content for players. Well over a year after it originally launched, Ubisoft has continued to keep Assassin’s Creed Shadows updated with new content, fixes, and highly requested features. The latest update continues this trend with a new weapon and various features.

In fact, fans have likely come to expect big changes from most updates, as Ubisoft has continued to improve and expand the experience as a whole well after the game originally launched. Not content to leave things as they were, Ubisoft has added many big new features months after launch, including an overhaul to the parkour system to make it easier to utilize, a New Game Plus option, level cap increases, Hideout improvements, and much more. In fact, the consistent updates and improvements also helped Assassin’s Creed Shadows hit new player milestones months after launch. While the latest update isn’t quite as big as past updates, it still adds some new things for players to check out.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Director Says Controversial Feature May Be In Future Games

Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ game director comments on a controversial feature, revealing that it may continue to be a part of the series.

The latest title update for Assassin’s Creed Shadows features a little bit of everything from new content and features, to fixes for remaining issues within the game. For all players, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is adding the Bo, a weapon that was originally introduced inside of the Claws of Awaji expansion. In this update, players can find non-legendary versions of this weapon around Feudal Japan from enemies, chests, or at merchants. The only catch here is that they won’t start appearing until the player has found at least one unique version of the weapon first.

In terms of new features, PlayStation Pro users can now take advantage of PSSR 2 support in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. PSSR 2 on PS5 Pro began rolling out in March and some games are already starting to take advantage of the new technology. In terms of AC: Shadows, players will likely notice enhanced image quality in addition to improved performance. Unfortunately, detailed specifics were not provided within the patch notes.

For Nintendo Switch 2 owners, Update 1.1.10 does enable a more unique way to play. Specifically, Assassin’s Creed Shadows now supports Mouse and Keyboard, letting players utilize the unique control scheme for the Nintendo Switch 2. Finally, the patch also addresses numerous bugs and other issues within the game, including UI adjustments, fixes for the many different weapons and perks, as well as progression blockers in a number of quests like Brothers in Arms, Lost and Found, and The Winter Raiders.

In March, members of the Ubisoft development team reflected on the one-year anniversary of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, with art director Thierry Dansereau calling it a huge achievement. Associate Game Director Simon Lemay-Comtois recalled the various workshops Ubisoft held, where the community could voice their feedback on the game, which ultimately helped lead to many of the improvements and post-launch updates. In fact, Lemay-Comtois indicated that the team learned more about what players wanted in a single year than the entire decade. It would appear that the community-focused approach is something that Ubisoft will continue to utilize going forward.
