Battlefield 6 is Starting to Roll Out Compensation for EA App Outage

Some Battlefield 6 players online are finally reporting that they’re starting to receive the promised compensation for the game’s EA app outage at launch. While it may seem that this compensation is arriving a little late for Battlefield 6 players, it’s better late than never.

When Battlefield 6 was first released, many players who used the EA app were left struggling to play as the launcher told them they didn’t own the game. This was understandably frustrating for players who wanted to play one of the most anticipated games of the year on its launch day, and it even led to Battlefield 6 boss Vince Zampella telling players to just use Steam instead. While the issue was quickly resolved, EA was equally swift to offer compensation to affected players, including bonus XP boosters as well as a seasonal Battle Pass.

Over 1,000 Battlefield 6 Players Agree That Breakthrough is ‘Terrible Now’

Following a controversial adjustment to Breakthrough in Battlefield 6’s latest update, fans are criticizing the mode for feeling “off.”

Some Battlefield 6 Players Notice EA App Outage Compensation Has Landed

Now, over a month after release, many players online are reporting that Battlefield 6‘s EA app compensation is starting to arrive. Players have to redeem the compensation from their in-game inboxes, so those expecting it who haven’t received it should check there next time they launch Battlefield 6. However, it does appear that not every player has received the compensation yet, according to the comments, so it’s one for players to keep an eye on in the coming days.

Those who have received their compensation are reporting that only the XP boosters have been handed out so far. The seasonal Battlefield 6 Battle Passes initially promised to players seemingly haven’t been sent out yet, with some voicing their frustration with EA about the situation. Hopefully, as the XP boosters continue to roll out to affected players, the Battle Passes will be sent out quickly, too.

Leaks reveal nine new game modes for Battlefield 6

Those launch day troubles were not enough to stop Battlefield 6 from becoming the best-selling game of the year. There was tons of hype for Battlefield‘s comeback after a four-year break following the poorly-received Battlefield 2042, and the game has only gone from strength to strength following its launch. And while some players have their complaints about the game, it feels as though Battlefield 6 has put the franchise in its strongest position in a long time.
