Battlefield 6 is going to Las Vegas for Season 5 and with it comes 3 months of new content from maps and modes, alongside the return of 2 highly requested features that fans have been waiting for. It’s a big week for Battlefield 6 as Season 5 is set to launch on October 13, letting players run amok in the streets of Las Vegas, while also opening up the gates guarding Area 51.
Battlefield 6 has continued to gain strong momentum throughout 2026 and Season 5 is shaping up to be its biggest one yet. After a massive launch over a year ago on October 2025, Battlefield 6 hit a rough patch as frustrations within the community grew throughout the rest of 2025 and into Season 1. However, with each new Seasonal update, more and more features and content were added, resulting in a much happier player base. Season 4 even brought back naval combat for Battlefield 6 in a big way, introducing the largest map the game has seen yet in Tsuru Reef. With Season 5, EA has more quality of life improvements on the way as well.
Battlefield 6 Adding Server Browser and More
With the reveal of the full Season 5 roadmap, Battlefield 6 confirmed that the Siege of Las Vegas is finally adding Platoons and a Server Browser feature. As some of the most highly requested features from the Battlefield community, fans won’t be getting these features when Season 5 launches as they’re currently projected to arrive during Phase 3 on December 8. Initially, players had to use Battlefield 6‘s Portal to find a server browser, but when Phase 3 hits, the feature will finally be available for use in the base version of the game. EA plans to share more when Phase 3’s launch gets a bit closer.

The announcement, while a long time coming for many fans, shouldn’t be too surprising as EA and DICE confirmed “What’s Next” for Battlefield 6 following the launch of Season 4. The post itself revealed Battlefield Studios’ long-term plans for the game, which, so far, have been accurate. Since Season 4, EA has slowly been adding in some of the most requested features, like Proximity Chat, Custom Lobbies, and Spectator Mode. It’s worth noting that these features have limited availability as EA continues to test them before unleashing them throughout the base game.
In the meantime, Season 5 has a wealth of content coming over the course of the rest of 2026. Fans may have noticed a tease for a Dead Space crossover during Season 5, which appears set to arrive just in time for Halloween. According to EA, the crossover will be adding the Convergence Event to Battlefield 6 following the discovery of a Marker under Area 51, though as to what players can expect from a gameplay and rewards perspective, EA is planning a full reveal closer to launch.
Outside the launch of Season 5 on October 13, fans will want to circle November 10 on their calendar when “Casino Heist” arrives, adding a new map called European Casino, a new event called Casino Heist, and gear. However, December 8 will be the big update as Frozen Aces not only adds Platoons and the Server Browser, but Operation High Roller launches alongside the return of the updated Blackwell Fields and New Sobek City maps. A special Freezeout event will also begin, which appears to give the Vegas Strip map a snowy makeover.
