Zenless Zone Zero is gearing up for its next big update launching on March 24, with Version 2.7 bringing a pair of new characters, a new event, and more. The urban action RPG from HoYoverse has made waves throughout its most recent patches, adding a multitude of exciting new characters to the roster. Version 2.5 saw the introduction of both a new Void Hunter and a free five-star character, welcoming Ye Shunguang and Zhao to Zenless Zone Zero‘s playable cast. However, Version 2.6 welcomed the debut of one of the RPG’s most highly-anticipated factions.
The ongoing Version 2.6 finally introduced the long-rumored Angels of Delusion faction to Zenless Zone Zero, originally teased before the game’s launch. The idol group had been hinted numerous times, both within in-game lore and with Sunna making an appearance as an NPC during Version 2.1’s flagship event. The Version 2.6 update to Zenless Zone Zero added Sunna as a new Physical Support character during the first half, while the second half of the patch introduced Aria as an Ether Anomaly unit. Now, the Angels of Delusion are getting their final member, alongside lots more in Version 2.7.

Zenless Zone Zero Reveals Version 2.7 Update
The Version 2.7 Special Program for Zenless Zone Zero officially detailed the content coming in the RPG’s next patch. The update will add two new characters to the game’s playable roster, debuting Nangong Yu as the final member of the Angels of Delusion and Cissia as a new character from New Eridu Public Security. Zenless Zone Zero will add the newest chapter of its main story, titled “New: Eridan Sunset (A),” teasing multiple characters making their first in-game appearance. One of Zenless Zone Zero‘s new characters will also receive their own skin at launch, with Nangong Yu’s Rhapsody’s Muse skin available at a discounted rate for a limited time.
HoYoverse teased several new events coming to Zenless Zone Zero as part of Version 2.7’s livestream presentation. Chronicle of Simmering Flavors will serve as one of the biggest events within the update, inviting players to play a cooking mini-game at Simmer Hot Pot. Version 2.7 will offer multiple events centered around Zenless Zone Zero‘s combat, teasing new challenges like Special Disaster Control Squad and Old Friends, New Commissions. Version 2.7 is also introducing the new Tidal Wave mode for the Simulated Battle Tower, featuring more than 70 floors of enemies to conquer.

Players should have no shortage of opportunities to save up for Zenless Zone Zero‘s new characters during Version 2.7. The update will welcome the standard All-New Program login campaign, with players earning up to 10 Encrypted Master Tapes for logging into the game for seven days during the patch. Fans looking to add new Bangboos to their teams can also benefit from the return of “En-Nah” Into Your Lap, giving out up to 10 Boopons for the Bangboo-specific gacha banner. Zenless Zone Zero‘s Version 2.7 update will officially launch on March 24, with 300 Polychromes given out as compensation for the five-hour maintenance.
Zenless Zone Zero‘s multitude of new content comes as big changes are expected to be on the way for the RPG. HoYoverse is expected to officially announce the game’s Season 3 update during Version 2.7’s run, similar to how Version 1.7 marked the conclusion of Season 1. Zenless Zone Zero has already begun to show multiple characters believed to play major roles in Season 3’s story, including Promeia, Velina, and Norma appearing in Version 2.6’s main story. Zenless Zone Zero fans should have exciting things in store as the RPG gears up for some major updates on the horizon.
