Microsoft is seemingly sending some Xbox users free Double XP Tokens for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 as a “thank you” for playing the 2025 shooter, as well as a $5 gift card that can be spent in the Microsoft Store on games, add-ons, and more. It’s unclear why the studio has suddenly opted to send select Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 players some freebies, but it does appear to be at random, as many fans say they’ve been playing the game since launch and have not received anything.
Following the launch of the rebooted Modern Warfare series in 2019, Double XP Tokens have become a staple of the Call of Duty series, especially for Multiplayer fans. While the latest installments often have Double XP events that usually span across an entire weekend, anybody who is looking to level up their character or weapons as quickly as possible will want to rack up as many Tokens as possible to make sure they’re not holding out until these events roll around. There are often numerous ways to get ahold of Double XP Tokens in Call of Duty, whether it be the latest seasonal Battle Pass or one of the many promotions Activision has during the game’s launch.
Rumor: Another Call of Duty Game Might Be Removed From the Controversial HQ App
A new leak suggests a recent Call of Duty game may soon be removed from the controversial HQ app and become its own standalone title.
Microsoft Is Giving Some Black Ops 7 Players Free Double XP Tokens
There now seems to be yet another way for players to get their hands on some extra Double XP Tokens for Black Ops 7, but it unfortunately appears to be a completely random giveaway. As spotted by CharlieIntel, Microsoft is sending some Xbox users Double XP Tokens for the latest Call of Duty as a thank you for playing the game’s Campaign. The message being sent to select players says they have been gifted the Dual 2XP Pack and a gift card (reportedly with a value of $5), which can be spent on games and add-ons in the Microsoft Store.
Exactly why Microsoft has suddenly decided to send select Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 players free Double XP Tokens and gift cards remains unclear, other than it being a mere gesture. However, some users claim they have been playing the shooter on Xbox since its launch last year and haven’t received the same gift. It should be noted, though, that the message specifically mentions Call of Duty: Black Ops 7‘s Campaign, which means anybody who simply plays Multiplayer, Zombies, or Endgame, may not be eligible to receive the gift.
Anybody who missed out on the free gift from Microsoft will be pleased to know that there are numerous promotions currently available to Call of Duty players, including one with the popular soft drink brand, Fanta. From now until July 1, Fanta has teamed up with World of Warcraft, Diablo 4, Call of Duty, Forza Horizon 6, and Halo: Campaign Evolved to give gamers the chance to earn some exclusive in-game goodies for their title of choice. The best part about the promotion is that it’s completely free. For Call of Duty fans looking to get their hands on a 1-hour Double XP Token and a new Calling Card, simply visit the Fanta website on a mobile device, play a quick minigame, and unlock one of the many rewards available.
