Raven Software and Treyarch released a new update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, tackling a variety of issues impacting players during the recent launch of Season 3. Coming off a well received Season 2, Treyarch and Raven Software are looking to keep the positive momentum going with the latest seasonal update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. In addition to new operators, game modes, and cosmetics, the studio is also adding a remastered version of the Plaza map, originally from Black Ops 2.
Alongside a new Battle Pass for Season 3 in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and plenty of new content to dig into, Treyarch is also looking to further tighten the screws against cheaters this season. Without going into a ton of detail, Activision confirmed that its Ricochet Anti-Cheat system received updates for Season 3, adding new security measures, expanded detection systems, and updated attestation messaging to make it harder for hackers and cheaters to impact matches or other players’ accounts. With security continually being strengthened, developers have released a new update to further improve the moment-to-moment gameplay of Black Ops 7.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Introduces Supply Drops, And Fans Are Massively Concerned
As part of a new event, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 brings back Supply Drops, but fans are already taking to social media to express their concerns.
It’s been just over a week since Season 3 launched for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and development studios Treyarch and Raven Software aren’t wasting any time in fixing some issues currently impacting the game. In terms of multiplayer, the patch makes a couple of fixes for Cliff Town and Beacon, closing an exploit that allowed players to leave the map, as well as collision issues that impacted sight lines.
For Ranked Play, there was a UI issue that prevented some camos from having their unlock requirements displayed. In addition, there was a very specific bug that appeared when winning an Overload match in Overtime with a score that was technically considered a tie would ultimately result in an SR loss for the winning team.
Endgame was also provided a couple of fixes, including one for the newly added Aether Blade ability in Black Ops 7. Specifically, the first use of the Aether Blade would consume a charge even when not hitting an enemy. The minor ability is essentially a throwing knife that runs on a charge meter, where hitting 5 enemies with one throw restores part of the charge, so maintaining that meter is very important. The other big fix in this update is the Dark Ops “Off Meta” Calling Card Challenge is now tracked correctly.
Finally, the other big piece of this update is with the Zombies mode. In addition to another UI fix, which adds the correct preview image for the Ashwood Survival save files, the second piece impacts fans of Black Ops 7‘s Mule Kick Perk-a-Cola. Fully Equipped, a minor augment type, allows players to carry more equipment with them, though in an odd twist, those who selected Klaus could find themselves unable to control him. Whatever the cause, players no longer need to worry about losing control of Klaus with the Full Equipped augment active.
