Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has officially added the smallest map in the series’ history, as the new GRWM (Get Ready With Me) playlist makes its debut in multiplayer for April Fool’s Day 2026. In a rather unexpected update to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 on April 1, which is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, Treyarch has added a brand-new map with its own dedicated playlist. Fans shouldn’t expect to play this new map strategically, however, as all eight spawns are visible to each other.
As is tradition in the video game industry, developers across multiple titles are surprising their player bases today to celebrate April Fool’s Day and have fun with the community. While Call of Duty has just added the smallest map in its history, Fortnite is celebrating April Fool’s Day in a very different way. Epic Games has not only added a new Big Head mode to the game, which enlarges the heads of all players, but it has also allowed players to stack themselves on top of each other. The new ability is already making for some hilarious clips, but anybody who wants to check it out will need to do so quickly, as Epic will be reverting the new April Fools content tomorrow, April 2.

Call of Duty fans take to social media to express their anger over a new Dave Chappelle bundle in Black Ops 7 and Warzone for Season 3.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Adds Tiny New Map for April Fool’s Day 2026
Those who have jumped into Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 today ahead of Season 3’s release this week may have noticed a brand-new playlist titled GRWM, otherwise known as “Get Ready With Me.” If you have, you’re not going insane; Treyarch Studios really has added a brand-new map, out of the blue, to celebrate April Fool’s Day 2026. This isn’t just any ordinary multiplayer map, though, as it’s even smaller than Black Ops 6‘s iconic Stakeout map or Modern Warfare‘s Shipment. GRWM is set inside a walk-in closet and can only be played on Free-For-All, which means a total of eight players spawn in the enclosed space at once.
Anybody who intends to play GRWM in Black Ops 7 should anticipate many, many deaths and possibly even some rage due to the map’s tiny size. However, fans are noting how easy it is to grind weapon camos on the map, as it’s just as easy to pick up many headshots as it is to be on the receiving end of those headshots. “This is what I’ve always dreamed of,” one fan said, while another said it’s the “funniest” mode they’ve ever played in Call of Duty.
What makes this map’s debut all the more surprising is that it has arrived just one day before the launch of Season 3, which in itself will also be adding a ton of new multiplayer maps. Although unconfirmed, there’s a good chance that Treyarch removes the new GRWM tomorrow, along with Black Ops 7‘s Season 3 update. The good news, however, is that there will still be plenty of new maps to check out, just far less chaotic. On April 2, Treyarch is adding five new maps to the game’s rotation, two of which are remasters from previous titles. Fans can also expect even more maps to arrive in the mid-season update, which usually arrives a month after launch.

Call of Duty developers such as Treyarch Studios and Infinity Ward are well-known to be avid enjoyers of April Fool’s antics, often replacing playlist names with humorous ones, lowering gravity in Warzone, messing with the balancing of weapons, and many more. However, this is the first time that a studio has designed a whole new map just for April Fool’s Day. Given the community’s love for small maps, such as Shipment, Nuketown, and Stakeout, maybe Treyarch will keep GRWM in its back pocket for next year? Who knows. But as there’s a strong chance this tiny map isn’t available for long, players should jump in and check it out while they still can.
