Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is getting a minor update on September 1, with Ubisoft recently confirming everything that would be included, and the developer/publisher also gives a slight update on New Game Plus. For various reasons, New Game Plus’ addition to Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced remains one of the most desired features for the pirate game.

And a lot of people desire it, that’s for sure. Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced smashed through sales expectations for Ubisoft, possibly expanding the ongoing updates for the title. While Update 1.0.7 releases on September 1 and will not include New Game Plus, it does give fans a little more to do in the beloved game.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Update 1.0.7 Date and Time

  • Update 1.0.7 lands at 7 am PT/10 am ET on September 1

Arguably the biggest addition in this new update is the ability to rescue the lost, abandoned, lonely dog on the unnamed island. Other major additions include the ability to hide Edward’s Pistols, as well as a plethora of quest and general gameplay bug fixes. Ubisoft also teases more additions to the world of Black Flag, but it stops short of naming these apparent additions. It’s not the biggest update in the world, clocking in at 1.53 GB on PS5, 3.86 GB on Ubisoft Connect, and 15.26GB on Xbox Series X/S, and it will be released at 7 am PT/10 am ET on September 1.

Known Assassin’s Creed content creator JorRaptor also asked if Ubisoft had any update on the New Game Plus, to which the official Twitter account responded, “We’re still working on it. We will communicate as soon as we have an update to share.” It remains to be seen when that will be, but hopefully it’ll land well before November hits the video game industry.

After all, Grand Theft Auto 6 releases in November, and many games have intentionally avoided that period to stay out of its way. An Assassin’s Creed Black Flag dev previously expressed hope that players would continue to explore the Caribbean, despite the gargantuan game on the horizon, and having New Game Plus would go a long way in accomplishing that goal. Either way, as stated by Ubisoft, it’ll update fans once it can.

In the meantime, there could be new secrets hidden around Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, and a lonely dog needs saving. The latter comes directly from the community, so it’s nice to see Ubisoft paying attention to fan requests.
