Welcome to Sunnybrook, a brand-new dinosaur horror game, has just made its way to Steam. This new Steam horror game sees players carefully exploring a small countryside village filled with hulking prehistoric creatures.

Good dinosaur games are unfortunately few and far between, and good dinosaur horror games are even rarer. Of course, this rather niche genre has had plenty of hits in its lifetime, with the long-dormant Dino Crisis series being some of its most celebrated entrants, but it’s been quite some time since a truly great dinosaur horror game was presented to fans. With Welcome to Sunnybrook‘s release, a new challenger is about to face judgment.

Welcome to Sunnybrook Is Out Now on Steam

Welcome to Sunnybrook is a first-person horror game in which players are tasked with sneaking their way through an idyllic suburban town that’s been suddenly overrun by all manner of terrifying dinosaurs. The game is available now on Steam, where it retails for $7.99. But until November 10, Steam users can get a 10% discount on Welcome to Sunnybrook, bringing that total down to $7.19 for a limited time.

In Welcome to Sunnybrook, players assume the role of a burglar looking to take advantage of all the wealthy families that vacation in this usually quiet haven. While those families are living and working in the bustling city, their homes are empty, giving the player-character an easy way to make a bit of cash, or so they thought. Somehow, Sunnybrook has been taken over by hungry dinosaurs, and it’s up to the player to use their crafty thieving skills to get out of the town alive.

Being a burglar and not some kind of dinosaur action hero, players must primarily rely on stealth to make their way through Welcome to Sunnybrook. They’ll need to pick locks, disable security systems, hide wherever they can, and maybe crack a safe or two along the way to make sure that this deadly trip wasn’t a total waste of time.

Welcome to Sunnybrook has been developed by Breaking Dimensions in collaboration with Polygon Dust. Breaking Dimensions has plenty of experience in the niche dinosaur horror genre, having released both Oakwood in 2018 and Rip Current in 2025. The former game is another first-person dinosaur horror game, this time set in an abandoned camp rather than an empty vacation town. Oakwood is currently sitting at a ‘Very Positive’ rating on Steam after 564 user reviews, with many praising the game’s eerie atmosphere and well-crafted jump scares. The more recently released Rip Current has a more action-oriented approach, but is another first-person horror game centering around dinosaurs. Rip Current is also sitting at a ‘Very Positive’ rating on Steam, with many players acknowledging the game’s short length but expressing their overall enjoyment with the experience.
