A new leak may have just provided the first details of the rumored LEGO Hello Kitty wave. Rumors of a LEGO Hello Kitty line first popped up in June, and the latest leak points to a potential release window for the range.
Created in 1974, Hello Kitty is currently the 10th highest-grossing franchise in the world. While the Hello Kitty franchise is primarily known for its various animated series, its manga series, and its vast array of merchandise, the franchise has also had a sizable presence in the world of video games since the early 1990s. One of the franchise’s most notable forays into the gaming world was 2023’s Hello Kitty Island Adventure, a cozy life-sim that allowed players to befriend an assortment of iconic Sanrio characters. Hello Kitty is set to receive a new game on October 29 in the form of Hello Kitty Party Land, a Mario Party-esque multiplayer game.
LEGO Hello Kitty Is Coming in 2027
LEGO Hello Kitty was first leaked back in June, when reliable and well-known LEGO leaker Brick Tap claimed that the wave was due out in January 2027. Brick Tap has just offered an official update on the upcoming Hello Kitty LEGO wave, stating that it may have been delayed and may no longer release next January. That said, Brick Tap still believes the first LEGO Hello Kitty sets will arrive sometime in 2027. While Brick Tap states that this information has been provided by verified anonymous sources, fans should always take any leaks and rumors with a hefty pinch of salt.
No other details concerning this rumored LEGO Hello Kitty wave are currently available. It’s unclear if LEGO will focus solely on Hello Kitty and the characters that are closely connected to it, or if the upcoming range will branch out and take inspiration from the wider Sanrio universe and include characters like Pompompurin, Kuromi, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, and Chococat. It’s also unclear what form these LEGO Hello Kitty sets will take, or if they’ll include minifigures or Mini Dolls like those found in the LEGO Friends range.

2027 Is Already Shaping Up to be a Busy Year for LEGO
While LEGO hasn’t officially confirmed much of its 2027 lineup just yet, there’s been an onslaught of leaks in the last few months hinting at what fans can expect to see next year. LEGO is reportedly going all-out for Star Wars‘ 50th anniversary next year, with a total of 34 sets already leaked, including a George Lucas tribute set that references the behind-the-scenes filming of the original Star Wars movie. LEGO’s Marvel line is also set to have a big 2027, with some more Spider-Verse sets, Avengers: Doomsday sets, and even a Thor: Love and Thunder set rumored to appear. Dragon Ball Z LEGO sets are also set to make their debut next year.
When it comes to gaming-related LEGO sets, over 20 have already been leaked for release in 2027. These include the usual additions to the LEGO Minecraft and Fortnite waves, along with a handful of new LEGO Pokemon sets and some new LEGO Super Mario sets, which will finally be introducing minifigures to the long-running Nintendo wave.
