- Modern Warfare 3’s new Zombies-themed skin bundle has left fans frustrated.
- The bundle’s 2400 CoD Points price tag is seen as too high by many users, and it lacks powerful configurations and tracer weapons.
- Disappointingly, reports indicate there won’t be any new enemy types or perks added to Zombies for the remainder of the game’s lifespan.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has added a new Zombies-themed skin bundle and fans are not happy about it. Fans of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3‘s Zombies mode have had other reasons as well to grow frustrated recently.
Modern Warfare 3‘s Season 2 update dropped on February 7th. Leading up to the season’s release, some Zombies fans had become hopeful that the zombie-themed season would add some major new features to their favorite mode. However, this turned out to not be the case with Modern Warfare 3‘s newest update, leading many Zombies fans to become frustrated with Season 2. Its roadmap revealed that Zombies would receive limited content in a mid-season update and no content at launch. Following the disappointing news, it seems that many Zombies fans have continued to feel discouraged by Call of Duty‘s recent moves.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Fans Are Divided Over The Stash House Multiplayer Map
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s Stash House map sparks debate among fans over its intense close-quarters combat and strategic depth.
Reddit user Defiant-Oven-6090 posted screenshots of Modern Warfare 3‘s new Zombies Aether Worm bundle, which charges 2400 CoD Points (about $24) in exchange for a variety of cosmetics and a strike team slot, which allows a Zombies user to add another operator to their strike team. Fans explained that an additional strike team slot is mostly useless since all of a user’s operators share the same backpack. To start with, all users are given three strike team operators for free, and most players rarely need more than two operators. The 2400 CoD Point bundle also includes the Vanquisher skin, Etched Obsidian DG-58 blueprint, Seared Obsidian Longbow blueprint, Olgoi-Khorkhoi decal, Bite Sized charm, and a refined aetherium crystal.

Many users were rubbed the wrong way by the bundle, upset by its price. Other fans pointed out that the bundle doesn’t include tracer weapons or blueprints with powerful configurations, devaluing the bundle further. Most users seem to be fans of its Vanquisher skin, at least. Call of Duty‘s new Rick Grimes skin hasn’t been so lucky in terms of fan reception, as many have complained about its odd voice acting. While the new Zombies bundle won’t struggle with the same issues, its weak offerings came at a bad time for newly disgruntled Zombies fans. Unfortunately, Zombies fans received more disappointing news recently.
A recent leak claimed that Modern Warfare 3 will not add any new enemy types or perks to Zombies for the remainder of the game’s lifespan. While this is a big letdown for Zombies players if true, fans can at least look forward to next year’s Call of Duty.
Call of Duty 2024 will be a Treyarch-led game and will presumably give more attention to Zombies since the studio is the original creator of the popular mode. It should be noted that it hasn’t been confirmed that Treyarch will focus heavily on Zombies, but fans are at least hoping for new features to be added more consistently during Call of Duty 2024.
