Call of Duty publisher Activision has pulled back the curtain on the big Season 3 Reloaded update for Black Ops 7 and Warzone, which will be released for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC on Thursday, April 30. The major content update will act as Call of Duty‘s mid-season refresh, bringing new maps and modes to Black Ops 7‘s Multiplayer, a new round-based map for Zombies fans, some fresh limited-time modes for Warzone enthusiasts, and much more.
Late last month, developers Treyarch Studios and Raven Software brought Call of Duty fans more content to check out with the launch of Season 3 for Black Ops 7 and Warzone. The update added five new Multiplayer maps to the shooter, two of which were remasters from past installments. As for Warzone fans, Raven Software finally added a highly requested feature to the game: big map rotation. After the success of Black Ops Royale earlier this year, Raven brought the mode’s map to standard Battle Royale, now allowing players to play both Avalon and Verdansk on a rotating schedule.

Call of Duty Reveals Season 3 Reloaded Content for Black Ops 7 and Warzone
As we are now at the halfway point of Season 3, Activision has finally pulled back the curtain on the mid-season refresh, which has now been confirmed to release on Thursday, April 30. For Multiplayer fans, more remastered classics are on the way, as Black Ops 7‘s Season 3 Reloaded update will see the return of Summit and Hacienda. Plus, a brand-new 6v6/2v2 map known as Onsen will also be added to the game. If that wasn’t enough, a new Freerun mode will allow players to put their movement skills to the test. Compete against fellow Operators through 10 different zones of dexterity and marksmanship to see who can get the best time and earn rewards for completing objectives.
The April 30 update will also see the arrival of a new Zombies map for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, known as Totenreich. This round-based map takes place in an old Norwegian fishing village, first founded during the Bronze Age and now caught in the Dark Aether. But that’s not all Zombies fans have to look forward to, as Season 3 Reloaded is also adding new enemies and another Wonder Weapon. The Necropincer, a doomed undead Viking warrior spirit, will be causing havoc on Totenreich, wielding a trident, piercing and stabbing adversaries who venture too close, while throwing the weapon at more distant foes.
Players will also be able to get their hands on a new Wonder Weapon in Season 3 Reloaded: Jotunn Star. Treyarch describes the weapon as an ancient lantern that casts death-dealing fireballs and strikes down foes with a barbed iron chain. The Jotunn Star can be used to inflict major damage upon enemies, with up to five attacks in a row, which will also release an area of spectral energy on impact.
Lantern Swing: A dexterous wielder can swing the weapon in front of them, using the blunt instrument to drop advancing undead.
Flame Charge: The Jotunn Star drains the essence of creatures it eliminates, storing the energy within the weapon. This energy can be stored to provide warmth and to enable the Flame Tendril and Flame Strike attacks.
Flame Tendril: When two or more fully charged lanterns are being utilized, a fiery cord connects them and slowly drains the life of anything that gets in its way
Flame Strike: When sufficiently charged, the stored energy within the Jotunn Star can be discharged as a concentrated, explosive fireball, damaging and setting foes alight.

For those who have already unlocked and leveled up all of the new weapons for Season 3 of Warzone, fear not, as more content is on the way. April 30 will see the debut of some new limited-time modes, the first of which is Hot Pursuit, which takes place on Avalon, where Police hunt down Thieves in a fast-paced, vehicle-driven game mode that will test players’ driving skills and see just how well they really know the streets of Avalon. And for Prop Hunt fans, the popular game mode arrives on Rebirth Island. Featuring 24v24 action, teams will alternate between the role of Hunters and Props in Call of Duty‘s biggest hide and seek mode to date.
