Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 developer Treyarch Studios has teased the return of an iconic multiplayer map that hasn’t been seen since 2012’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. The map is expected to return in Season 3 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which will kick off next month and once again add tons of new content to Multiplayer, Zombies, and Endgame. Although the official roadmap has yet to be revealed, Warzone players will also likely have plenty to check out with the new seasonal update, too.
Earlier this week, publisher Activision began teasing the next season of Call of Duty and confirmed the start date for Black Ops 7 Season 3. The major content update will drop for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC users on Thursday, April 2, once again bringing a brand-new Battle Pass filled with fresh cosmetics for players to unlock. The full roadmap for the new season hasn’t been revealed at the time of writing this article, but Treyarch is likely to stick with tradition and bring players new game modes, maps, weapons, gameplay features, and more in Season 3.

Raven Software confirms a highly requested feature is finally being added to Call of Duty Warzones Black Ops Royale mode, though there’s a catch.
Treyarch Teases Plaza Remaster For Black Ops 7 Season 3
Teasers for Season 3 of Call of Duty have officially begun, and Treyarch Studios’ latest post all but confirms that Plaza from Black Ops 2 will finally be making its return next week. The post shows a picture of an updated version of the Luna Nightclub, a famous section of the map, with the caption, “Wanna try it out?” For those who may have never experienced the original map, this is a reference to the Skrillex song ‘Imma Try It Out’ that players inside the fictional club. Presumably, given Treyarch’s caption, this means the map will be returning with the original song still intact.

Despite never being remastered until now, Plaza is one of the most iconic Call of Duty maps of all time. Set on a floating resort in the middle of the Indian Ocean, Plaza features tight corners and angles throughout, along with Treyarch’s classic three-lane map system. The map is also nearly perfectly symmetrical, with the center of the map being overlooked by two balconies, one for each team’s spawn. Players will often take to these balconies for Sniper battles, while the two side lanes are for much more intense, close-quarter combat.
Assuming Treyarch isn’t teasing Plaza’s return for later in Black Ops 7‘s lifecycle, it will be joining numerous other Black Ops 2 remasters now available in Black Ops 7, including Slums, Standoff, Grind, Nuketown, and many more. Fans were recently treated to a big Season 2 Reloaded update, which also saw the return of Firing Range, first seen in the original Black Ops, and Cliff Town, which is a remaster of Yemen, another map that had previously never been seen in a Call of Duty game since its debut in Black Ops 2. The update also added new game modes, weapons, and a brand-new Zombies map known as Paradox Junction.
A full roadmap reveal is expected to arrive sometime this week, which will also likely give Warzone fans a first look at some new content coming to the free-to-play title in Season 3. Players were recently treated to a huge new game mode in Season 2 Reloaded, known as Black Ops Royale, which is a new experience based on Blackout from Black Ops 4. It features some huge fundamental differences to Warzone‘s traditional Battle Royale mode, as Black Ops Royale has no loadouts, no gulag, and no buy stations. It also takes place on Avalon, a new large-scale map that was also seen in the game’s Campaign and Endgame modes.
