Crimson Desert Dev Hints at Major DLC Release

A Crimson Desert developer hints at a major DLC release for the popular open-world RPG.

A Switch 2 Port of Crimson Desert is Officially Under Consideration

During a July 7 Q&A session with shareholders, Pearl Abyss CEO Huh Jun-young stated that the company felt it was important for Crimson Desert to be on as many platforms as possible. This train of thought extends to the Switch 2, as Jin-young stated that the studio was reviewing how Nintendo’s latest console can handle Crimson Desert. Jin-young confirmed that development is underway to where basic gameplay is possible on Switch 2, though a lot of work still needs to be done. Given that Crimson Desert is an open-world action game with impressive graphics, Jin-young stated that getting the game to run on Switch 2 requires some optimization and verification to meet the company’s standards. Ergo, there is currently no timetable for when Crimson Desert could land on the Switch 2.
