A cute new LEGO set depicting a Greek taverna has leaked ahead of its reported August 2026 launch. The tiny model is expected to be the next gift-with-purchase offering in LEGO’s Restaurants of the World series.
Restaurants of the World debuted on February 27, 2026, with 40906 Japan, a 289-piece sushi restaurant that was available as a GwP promo through March 8. The series then continued with 40907 Mexico, a 327-piece taqueria offered from April 10 through April 19. Both of those 2026 LEGO sets required a (free) LEGO Insiders membership and an order worth approximately $180, depending on the country.

The ‘Free’ Promo Set Reportedly Debuts August 11
The third Restaurants of the World LEGO set has now been spotted online, with a real-life photo of its box emerging on Chinese social media platform RedNote (Xiaohongshu) in early August 2026. The leak identifies the unannounced model as 40908 Restaurants of the World: Greece. The packaging lists 254 pieces, a 12-plus age recommendation, and the unsurprising limited-edition status, which applies to all of LEGO’s gift-with-purchase sets going back to when the company standardized this type of promotion in the early 2010s.

The leaked build appears to depict a white-and-blue taverna with an accompanying sign written in the modern Greek alphabet, making it resemble “TABEPNA” in Latin characters. The model features arched openings, an upper terrace, a cute yellow parasol, a large fish-shaped sign, and one minifigure carrying a fish. It also includes a light brown cat figure and a traditional Greek stringed instrument called a bouzouki, a lute-like contraption hung on one of the walls of the minifigure-scale taverna. With 254 pieces, Greece would be the smallest Restaurants of the World set to date, with 35 fewer pieces than Japan and 73 fewer than Mexico.

The set’s summery look comes from its bright coastal color scheme, open-air layout, rooftop seating, and small patches of greenery. The oversized fish sign also continues a visual theme established by Japan’s rooftop nigiri and Mexico’s large corn taco, giving the three otherwise distinctive restaurants a consistent design language. Rumors circulating on social media point to the 40908 taverna set being planned to launch during LEGO’s summer 2026 wave, on August 11.
If the first two Restaurants of the World models are any indication, the next gift-with-purchase offering will not be officially available for longer than ten days. Unofficially, some distributors may stock the set after its promotional period ends, while supplies last. However, there is no guarantee that purchases made outside LEGO’s direct sales channels will qualify for 40908 Restaurants of the World: Greece. Some GwP promos, like the one for the new LEGO X-Files set, get wider release, while others are exclusive to the Danish toymaker or, in super rare instances, to one of its partners.
