Destiny 2 announced that the Grandmaster Nightfalls will be available to players once again, giving them the chance to play this extremely hard activity to get massive amounts of valuable loot. Grandmaster Nightfalls is an endgame activity in Destiny 2 where players have to face enemies with significantly higher HP, who can only be defeated by using specific weapons or subclasses.

Bungie recently released Destiny 2‘s update 8.0.0.5, which brings back the Pathfinder system alongside many other important fixes and improvements. There’s an interesting catch with the new Pathfinder system that will definitely please Destiny 2 players because now there will always be a path that can be completed by playing only PvE or PvP. Previously, Destiny 2 players sometimes needed to swap between modes to complete Pathfinder objectives.

Bungie announced the return of Grandmaster Nightfalls through the official Destiny 2 account on social media. With the activity being available again, players can now use the latest exotic weapons and items that were added with The Final Shape expansion. Many Destiny 2 players will love getting their Guardians back in this activity, whether it’s because of the mission difficulty or for the chance of getting extremely valuable loot. It also gives players a chance to discover new strategies to beat these endgame activities with Destiny 2‘s new exotic class items and loadouts from the latest expansion.

Destiny 2 Announces the Return of Grandmaster Nightfalls

The exotics that were introduced in the latest expansion proved to be too powerful in certain cases, and because of that, Destiny 2 will make changes to these exotics from The Final Shape. These changes include significant nerfs for the Khvostov 7G-0X, which has recently become extremely popular because of its high damage and stability. Turns out, the increased stability was the result of a bug, which will soon be removed entirely from the game. However, to make sure that it doesn’t impact the rifle’s handling too much, the base stability will also be increased. The damage buff on ricochet shots will also be reduced from 15% to 5%, but only for PvP activities. As these changes do not apply to PvE, they won’t affect the Grandmaster Nightfalls.

With the defeat of the Witness in the Excision mission following the Salvation’s Edge raid, the 10-year story arc starting with Destiny back in 2014 has finally come to a conclusion. Players will now be waiting for the next Destiny 2 expansion as it holds a lot of promise in terms of new story arcs and antagonists. Hopefully, it will be as good as The Final Shape expansion, if not better.
