A fresh leak may have offered a look at the second new class in Diablo 4‘s upcoming expansion, Lord of Hatred. If this Diablo 4 leak is to be believed, then gamers will soon have access to a new Warlock class when Lord of Hatred launches.

Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred was officially announced at The Game Awards 2025. The reveal confirmed that the expansion will feature two brand-new classes, one of which was the Paladin, given to players who pre-ordered the expansion. However, Blizzard chose to keep the second class under wraps, allowing players some element of surprise for when the new expansion releases. Thanks to a new leak, it seems this plan may have backfired, and gamers are pretty sure they know exactly what the upcoming class will be.

Diablo 4 Season 12’s New Uniques Are The First of Their Kind Since October 7, 2024

Diablo 4 Season 12 is adding several new Uniques that break a trend started all the way back in October 2024 with the release of Vessel of Hatred.

Diablo 4 Leak Claims Second New Lord of Hatred Class is the Warlock

Over on Reddit, Diablo 4 dataminer inudax has discovered some Lord of Hatred artwork in the 2.6.0 PTR featuring the Paladin and the new class fighting side-by-side. The unknown character appears to use some kind of blood magic, hinting at a darker direction for the new class. According to inudax, Diablo 4‘s 2.6.0 PTR includes a filename that reveals the class name: “2DUI_Expansion2_Info_Page_01_WarlockUpdate_0.” It seems that the new class is going to be the Warlock. It should be noted that while inudax is a trusted dataminer, it’s always worth treating leaks with a grain of salt to avoid disappointment. Blizzard has not officially confirmed the Warlock at this time, even if that seems to be the direction that Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred is heading.

If the Warlock is correct, then it would be a brand-new Diablo class never before seen in the series. This is more exciting than the possibility of Blizzard bringing back classes seen before, with some pointing out the obvious visual similarities in the leaked artwork to the Blood Knight seen in Diablo Immortal. Others felt that the Warlock could potentially feel too similar to the Necromancer, and might play a similar role to the Witch Doctor from Diablo 3. At the moment, this is all fan speculation based on one piece of artwork. It’s clear that the Warlock will be caster-focused, making it a good alternative to the Paladin.

Ever since Blizzard confirmed Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred would feature two classes, fans have had their own speculative guesses as to what the developer has planned. Some felt that Diablo 4‘s second new class was obvious, but very few would actually guess that it was the Warlock. It remains to be seen when Blizzard will officially reveal the Warlock. Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred is currently set to release on April 28, 2026, so a reveal can’t be too far away. It’s possible that Blizzard would also want to test the Warlock out for balance in the PTR for the expansion season, which would mean the reveal would be sooner rather than later. Gamers will just have to remain patient for an official Warlock reveal.

Recent seasons have received high praise from players, and the developer seems to have its finger on the pulse of what players want to see in the game. On February 11, Blizzard is set to hold a Diablo showcase, which will offer a look at what the franchise’s future holds. It will be interesting to see whether this only covers plans for Diablo 4 or whether it hints at future games in the series.
