Highlights

  • Diablo 4 players express boredom with The Pit, hoping Season 5 will improve it.
  • Season 4 introduced the Pit of Artificers, a randomized dungeon with 200 unlockable tiers.
  • Players suggest Diablo 4 needs a more engaging endgame and compare it unfavorably to Diablo 3’s Greater Rifts.

Some Diablo 4 players are bored with The Pit and hope that the fifth season of the game will “save” the activity. With the release of Season 4, Diablo 4 got a significant overhaul, offering changes to itemization, improvements to Helltides, and updates to the Codex of Power.

Another piece of new content introduced by Diablo 4 in Season 4 is the Pit of Artificers, also known as simply The Pit. Introduced as Diablo 4‘s biggest challenge in Season 4, The Pit is a randomized dungeon whose layout and enemies change each time players start it, giving them 15 minutes to kill all the enemies. In all, The Pit consists of 200 unlockable tiers that increase in difficulty and rewards. Blizzard brought The Pit as an intimidating activity to Diablo 4 players, but part of the community is less than thrilled with the endgame activity.

Diablo 4 Making Changes to Treasure Goblins in Season 5

Diablo 4 will make important changes to the Treasure Goblins, making encounters with these creatures even more interesting in Season 5.

Reddit user kito1121 is one of the Diablo 4 players who are no longer excited about The Pit. They say that every day they “get hyped” about playing Diablo 4‘s Pit, but end up doing no more than two or three tiers, losing their excitement about the endgame activity one more time. When asking if The Pit still thrills other Diablo 4 players, some of the answers they got showed the same lack of excitement about this aspect of Blizzard’s action RPG.

Diablo 4 Players Think The Pit is “Boring”

In response to the post, one of the Diablo 4 players defined The Pit as “boring” and sees no reason to advance beyond Pit tier 60. Several players said that they have more fun creating a new Diablo 4 character rather than doing The Pit. One comment lamented that Diablo 4 doesn’t have a plan to connect the entire endgame, making the experience more engaging. Other players cited Diablo 3‘s Greater Rifts, noting how while the activity got them engaged, the same is not happening with Diablo 4‘s Pits, even though both are activities with similar proposals.

During Season 4 Blizzard made adjustments to The Pit like in patch 1.4.2, but the changes still left players frustrated. With the arrival of Season 5, Diablo 4 players hope Blizzard will make The Pit exciting again and bring more content that will keep them engaged in the long run. The next season has already confirmed interesting features such as new consumables and new Unique items coming to Diablo 4. As a result, players wait to find out whether The Pit will once again become an exciting part of the Diablo 4 endgame.
