A key part of every seasonal grind in Diablo 4 is the race to find Mythic Uniques needed to complete a seasonal build. Diablo 4‘s Mythics are the rarest items in the game, and typically require players to spend a lot of time fighting tough bosses like Uber Lilith to obtain them. However, a new mechanic added in the Season of Slaughter offers lucky Diablo 4 players another way to farm for Mythics, and it shouldn’t be slept on by players having a hard time finding a Mythic in Season 12.
Diablo 4 Season 12 offers players a variety of new activities to participate in over the course of the season. The highlight of the Season of Slaughter is the ability to turn into the dreaded Butcher himself and slay demons at Shrines of Slaughter or mercilessly mow down villagers in Slaughterhouses. Killstreaks also play a big part in Diablo 4 Season 12, unlocking the powers of Bloodied items the higher a player’s kill streak gets. In players’ quest to find the strongest Bloodied items they can, they may be able to obtain an especially powerful Mythic Bloodied item.

Diablo 4 Season 12 Has a Limited-Time Mythic Unique Farming Method
Historically, the primary ways players could obtain Mythics in Diablo 4 were by farming endgame Lair Bosses and Uber Lilith, or crafting a Unique with Resplendent Sparks and Runes. However, another, more luck-based method involved gambling on items purchased from the Purveyor of Curiosities with Obols. This required players to spend their hard-earned Obol currency for a slim chance of getting a Mythic drop. Now Diablo 4 Season 12 has a similar Mythic farming method, only with a currency that’s much more abundant in the Season of Slaughter.

Fresh Meat Can Potentially Become a Mythic Unique When Trading for Bloodied Items
As confirmed by Reddit user souleaterexe, it’s possible to get a Bloodied Mythic Unique from the Butcher in Gea Kul, who trades Bloodied items for Fresh Meat. Like the Purveyor of Curiosities, this vendor gives players a random quality Bloodied item in exchange for Fresh Meat, with players able to choose which type of gear they’d like to purchase. There is a very low chance of a Mythic Unique dropping from this method, but Fresh Meat can be more reliably farmed in Season 12 than Obols, giving players more opportunities to gamble on a Mythic at this vendor.
The Best Ways to Farm Fresh Meat for Mythic Unique Gambling in Diablo 4 Season 12

There are several activities in Diablo 4 that can potentially drop tons of Fresh Meat, making it fairly easy for players to stock up on the currency for Mythic Unique gambling. The fastest way to earn Fresh Meat is through Slaughterhouses, which require a Slaughterhouse Key, but these are fairly common drops, and the 200 villagers needed to complete a run through the Slaughterhouse drop more than enough Fresh Meat to be worth it. Shrines of Slaughter in Helltides are also great for Fresh Meat drops, but they require the rarer Meaty Offering to activate. This item can drop from Helltide Chests, so players spending their time in Helltides to level up will likely find plenty to use on Shrines of Slaughter.
The Ceremony of Slaughter is likely the most efficient way to farm Fresh Meat, but it requires players to enter Diablo 4‘s PvP zone, the Fields of Hatred. To participate in the Ceremony of Slaughter, players will need to complete objectives within the Fields of Hatred to earn Savagery. After completing three objectives, the Butcher Idol will spawn next to the player with the most Savagery, letting them transform into the Butcher and run wild through the Fields of Hatred for 5 minutes, slaughtering and collecting Fresh Meat as they go.
The player who is the Butcher can be killed by other players, dropping the Butcher Idol and allowing them to become the Butcher instead.
