Electronic Arts has officially announced EA Sports UFC 6 with a June 2026 release date, thus confirming several earlier rumors about the project. The sequel to EA Sports UFC 5 will launch in two editions across as many consoles, and there are some indications that PC players may be getting it as well—eventually.
The most recent entry in the popular mixed martial arts franchise debuted in October 2023 to largely favorable critic scores and average player reviews. EA Vancouver had reportedly started active development on UFC 6 within a year of that release, as the project is said to have entered full production by late 2024.

EA Sports UFC 6 Gets Modest Announcement, June 2026 Release Date
The project’s official reveal arrived on April 27, confirming a recent EA Sports UFC 6 leak claiming the game was targeting a June 19 release date, as originally reported by Insider Gaming’s Mike Straw. The announcement itself was fairly modest by EA’s standards, with the company merely putting up a few store listings that describe the game but without showing it. The limited selection of images found on these pages only reveals the EA Sports UFC 6 cover athletes: Alex Pereira and Max Holloway. The former will be found on the base cover, while the latter will feature on the Ultimate Edition one.
According to Straw’s previous reporting, Holloway will have an entire EA Sports UFC 6 mode based around him. While details are still scarce, EA did mention an exclusive mode as part of the upcoming game’s Expansion Pass, which will be included in the Ultimate Edition that has Holloway on its cover. The higher-tier version of UFC 6 will retail for $99.99, or $89.99 for EA Play subscribers, courtesy of their standard 10% launch discount. The base game will debut with a typical AAA price tag of $69.99.

EA Sports UFC 6 promotional materials confirm the game is built with Frostbite, a proprietary engine developed by Battlefield maker DICE. EA Vancouver has already switched to Frostbite with UFC 5, with the previous four entries in the franchise using EA Sports’ Ignite engine. While only the console versions have been announced so far, Straw previously reported EA Sports UFC 6 would join PC in fall 2026.

As things currently stand, mixed martial arts fans will soon again have three entries in EA’s franchise available to play online. The list was cut to two in February 2025, when EA Sports UFC 3 was shut down as the longest-supported installment in the series, having lasted more than seven years before its servers were discontinued.
