Among the large assortment of AOE spells, players are unlikely to find anything more beautiful than Founding Rain of Stars in Elden Ring. True to its name, this spell can spawn a small rain cloud, irrigating the ground with little stars and causing damage to anyone in the area of effect. Unfortunately, this spell has several limitations but shows incredible results against slow crowds.

To use Founding Rain of Stars, players must have high Intelligence, but the first difficulty is finding it. Hidden high on the Mountaintops of the Giants, this spell isn’t the most noticeable trophy, but the visuals of it make it worth the journey.

Where To Find Founding Rain of Stars

Elden Ring map

To find Founding Rain of Stars in Elden Ring, players must travel to the northeastern part of Mountaintops of the Giants and climb to the top of the lone Heretical Rise tower. The problem is that you must solve the puzzle of Heretical Rise to reach the upper tower floors. To find the clue, go to the Freezing Lake Site of Grace and use this place as a starting point. Next, go south along the lake and make a detour to climb up the hill and reach Heretical Rise.

Approaching the tower, you will notice that the entrance is blocked by magic, and instead of the usual altar for the Stonesword Key, there is a statue giving a hint: “Falling snow marks something unseen.” Although it sounds confusing, you must find an invisible bridge that will lead you to your goal. But here are more precise recommendations on how to get to the Founding Rain of Stars spell:

  • Return to the Freezing Lake Site of Grace, and from this point, go north and spiral to reach higher ground.
  • Seeing Minor Erdtree in the distance, continue straight ahead until you see a destroyed bridge.
  • Climb the bridge and follow it towards Heretical Rise, even though it has collapsed. Having passed the physical part of this ancient structure, you will continue your journey through the air, moving along an invisible bridge.
  • Approaching Heretical Rise, look to the left, and you will notice a light snow-white glow, the invisible steps leading to the upper tower floors.
  • Climb up, enter the tower, and then reach the very top.
  • In a small room on the top tower floor, you will find a chest with the Founding Rain of Stars inside.

Elden Ring: How To Get Lance Talisman

The Lance Talisman is a great accessory for those who enjoy combat from horseback. Here is how to find the item in Elden Ring.

As mentioned earlier, Founding Rain of Stars is one of the most beautiful spells in the game, and you must have at least 52 Intelligence to use it. You spend 27 FP and summon a small rain cloud and star rain that deals decent magic damage. The disadvantage of this spell is that the target must remain in one place or be very slow. The rain zone does not change its location, so you must stay in front of the enemy so that it does not leave and receives maximum damage. Single targets are not the strength of this magic, but crowds of undead are unlikely to survive this attack.
