How To Trade Items In Elden Ring
Before we begin, it’s worth noting that Elden Ring has a poorly developed item exchange system, as there are no guarantees that you won’t get scammed. There’s no feature or interactive NPC that can fairly conduct trades, so you’ll just have to trust another player if you don’t know them. Thus, it is better to trade with those you know, such as friends or teammates.
So, if you find someone to trade with, here are the steps to follow to drop an item:
- Open your inventory.
- Find the item you want to trade with another player.
- Click on it to open the drop-down menu.
- Among the options listed, click on the one that says Leave.
- Once you do this, a notification will appear stating that you are discarding the item. Click Yes to confirm your decision.
Then, the other player should just come and pick it up. You can only discard eight items simultaneously. If you decide to discard the ninth, the first of the eight on the ground will disappear. In general, it is not recommended to trade in this way. The other player should pick them up immediately to avoid disappearing items or being stolen by other players in case of an invasion.
