The Epic Games Store has officially revealed Prop Sumo as its free game for April 9. The wacky physics-based brawler will mark the third freebie that Epic Games Store users are able to claim in April 2026, not counting the currently plentiful third-party giveaways on the platform.

Epic’s most recently concluded giveaway featured the arcade shoot-’em-up Hyper Echelon and cozy colony sim Havendock, both of which were claimable beginning March 26. As soon as that promotion ended and another one took its place on April 2, Epic announced yet another giveaway for the week ahead.

Every Free Game Released On The Epic Games Store (March 2026)

Here’s a list of all the games that have been made free on the Epic Games Store. You have until April 2 to get the current free games.

Prop Sumo Launching as Day-One Epic Games Store Freebie Next Week

Epic’s next giveaway will center on Prop Sumo, a party fighting game for up to six players. Developed by German studio Barrel Roll Games, the title will mark a relatively rare case of Epic offering a free game on its release day, as it is scheduled to launch on April 9, the same day its newly announced giveaway begins. The colorful game will be available to claim for exactly seven days, until April 16 at 8 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET / 5 p.m. CET.

What Exactly Is Prop Sumo?

Prop Sumo is a physics-based party brawler built around the idea of everyday household props competing for points in fast-paced arena matches. Players aim to finish as the highest-scoring object by knocking rivals around the stage with a combination of light, heavy, and charged attacks while avoiding incoming hits. The game also features roughly two dozen arena items, including explosives and magnetic traps, that can cause wild momentum swings mid-match.

Epic Games Store Free Games Right Now

While waiting for the April 9 giveaway to officially launch, Epic Games Store users can claim Clone Drone in the Danger Zone. The indie title from U.S. developer Doborog Games entered early access in 2017 and received its 1.0 update four years later. It is a fast-paced arena battler in which players compete in robot deathmatches. The game stands out from similar action titles for its detailed dismemberment system, allowing scenarios such as being the last robot standing on one leg. That mechanic is complemented by detailed voxel visuals that make each injury look unique.

Clone Drone in the Danger Zone has a short single-player story mode, but its main focus is on multiplayer, where it offers co-op experiences, PvP duels, and a chaotic battle royale mode. As of early April 2026, it has more than 17,200 “Overwhelmingly Positive” Steam reviews, placing it among the highest-rated titles Epic has given away in recent years.

Multiple Third-Party Giveaways Are Currently Live on the Epic Games Store

In related news, PC gamers can currently claim Vornyca via the Epic Games Store. An indie platformer with a post-apocalyptic setting, this 2025 title typically retails for $4.99. Its 100% discount is not Epic’s doing, with the giveaway instead initiated by the game’s developer, Horizon Studios. Third-party giveaways of this sort are still a relative novelty on the Epic Games Store, having only become possible following a February 2026 update to the platform’s developer tools. Another such giveaway that’s currently live offers a 100% discount on Together After Dark, a co-op horror game for up to four players that was originally released in January 2025. Both Together After Dark and Vornyca are free to claim on the Epic Games Store until April 5.
