Epic Games Store users have a bonus free co-op game to claim and add to their digital libraries this week. Epic Games Store users are used to getting free games. Every single week, there are new free games for Epic Games Store users to snag, with the vast majority made available on Thursdays at 10:00am CST.

At the time of this writing, the Epic Games Store freebies are the Raistlin’s Renown Pack for Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms (a $100 value for the free-to-play idle game) and the Zelda-inspired roguelite Turnip Boy Robs a Bank. These are the core Epic Games Store free games and will remain available until Thursday, March 12 at 10:00am CST. At that point, the Raistlin’s Renown Pack for Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms and Turnip Boy Robs a Bank will be cycled out of the Epic Games Store free games lineup and replaced by Cozy Grove and Isonzo. However, there is an extra free game that Epic Games Store users can claim in the meantime.

All the Free Games You Can Claim in March 2026

Steam, Epic, Amazon Prime, and more are giving away free games throughout March 2026. Don’t miss a single one of them.

Epic Games Store Free Games Available Right Now

Besides the main Epic Games Store free games, there is also The Assault: Survivor available on the Epic Games Store completely free of charge. The Assault: Survivor is a post-apocalyptic co-op action game with an isometric view where players level up their characters, unlock new abilities, and team up with friends or strangers online to defeat hordes of enemies. The Assault: Survivor normally costs $3.99, so it’s not a massive savings, but getting something for $0 is certainly more appealing than getting it for $3.99. Any Epic Games Store users interested in getting The Assault: Survivor for free should be sure to claim it by Friday, March 13 at 3:00pm CST.

The Assault: Survivor being free on the Epic Games Store could be a sign that users of the platform can expect more free games on a regular basis beyond what the platform itself gives away for free. Think of it like how the free Steam games work. Valve doesn’t give away free Steam games — the individual developers and publishers do. This makes it harder to know when a free Steam game is going to be available, but it also means that Steam users are treated to all kinds of free games all the time, whereas Epic Games Store users usually have to adhere to the launcher’s established free games schedule.

It will be interesting to see if The Assault: Survivor is a sign of things to come, or if it’s a one-off thing. In any case, it’s always nice to get a free game, and there’s no harm in claiming The Assault: Survivor and trying it out for yourself. If nothing else, it could be a solid game to play with friends in co-op.

The Epic Games Store Free Games Aren’t the Only Free PC Games

PC gamers willing to utilize multiple launchers can build a sizable collection of games without spending a single cent. Over on Steam, there is currently one free game for users to grab. Comedic point-and-click adventure game Deponia is free on Steam right now and will remain so until March 16 at 11:00am CST.

While it’s rare that big-budget games are given away for free on places like Steam and the Epic Games Store, that doesn’t mean that there are never high-quality freebies for PC gamers to grab. The games being 100% free means there’s no harm in at least giving them a try and making your own conclusions. Regardless, there will be plenty more free games given away on Steam and the Epic Games Store in the weeks and months ahead.
