Epic Games Store users have until May 3 at 8 am PT/11 am ET to claim the biggest Warner Bros. game released in recent years at absolutely no cost: Hogwarts Legacy. When it was released in 2023, it sold over 12 million copies and generated over $850 million in global sales revenue in its first two weeks and became one of the fastest-selling video games of all time, later crossing the 40 million copy mark. Not only was it financially successful, as everyone knew a Harry Potter RPG would be, but it was also critically successful, taking home dozens of awards across the industry.
It should be noted that this is not part of Epic Games Store’s weekly game giveaway. EGS can currently get Firestone Online IDLE RPG and Oddsparks: An Automation Adventure for free until May 7, at which time Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure and Trash Goblin replace them as the EGS free games. While some fans may wish to check those out, Hogwarts Legacy is undeniably a bigger draw for Epic Games Store users.

For those who may be unfamiliar, Hogwarts Legacy is a popular open-world action RPG set in the Harry Potter universe where you play as a new student at Hogwarts in the 1800s (firmly before the events of the book series).
