If you’ve been scrolling around the internet recently, you might have encountered the growing fanbase that exists for Star Wars: Galactic Racer‘s breakout character, Biddy Blas. This high-pitched, fast-talking reptilian racer has become a fan favorite thanks to his oddball personality, delusions of grandeur, and his annoying voice. And the actor who provided Blas’ voice is “overwhelmed” by the popularity, but thankful for the reactions.

When Star Wars: Galactic Racer launched on consoles and PC earlier this month to rave reviews, I figured people would be posting about how awesome the game is and how it’s one of the best racing games of the year. And amidst all the positive reviews from critics and fans, there’s plenty of praise for the game’s arcade racing action and sleek visuals. But what I didn’t anticipate while playing the game ahead of launch for review was how the internet would fall deeply in love with Biddy Blas, a Crocin racer who hates losing and loves yelling.

Over the last week or so, this new Star Wars character has been featured in many, many, many jokes, tweets, memes, video edits, TikToks, Reddit posts, and more. If you didn’t know better, you might assume Biddy Blas is the main character or a major player in Galactic Racer. But that’s not the case at all. He’s just one of many NPC racers you can interact with while playing the game in single-player or online.

However, something about Biddy Blas has really connected with people, especially fans of little freaks and weirdos, and as a result, the internet has turned Biddy into a star.

Biddy Blas is portrayed by indie UK wrestler and actor Richard Summers-Calvert. And the suddenly famous alien’s voice actor seems extremely pleased by all the fame, even if it might be “overstimulating.” He’s been sharing his favorite Biddy Blas memes and video edits on social media while interacting with fans and posting videos thanking everyone for the love.

“I am so, so grateful and so, so happy that everybody loves Biddy Blas,” said the actor in a recently posted video. He also asked people to reach out to their local comic cons and conventions if they want him to appear and “scrib doon” some autographs.

And yes, in his videos he can be heard yelling SCRIB DOON, one of Biddy’s now-famous voice lines. He also understands that Biddy can be a bit of a jerk on the track and is known for smashing folks into the walls at high speed, ending runs in the process. The little jerk.

“I just want to say thank you again for all the likes, comments, engagements, and everything,” said Summers-Calvert in another video. “I know you’re doing it for Biddy. I know you’re doing it for him, but I benefit from him as well. I appreciate all the love…and hate, and frustration.  And I just want to say thank you one more time. It probably won’t be the last time. So there you go. SCRIB DOOOON!”

Now, when do we get a Biddy Blas Star Wars: Galactic Racer DLC expansion that lets us play as the little bastard and help him win the big Galactic League tournament?
