No matter how large and self-sufficient a shelter you build in Fallout Shelter, it makes no sense without residents. Each room requires maintenance, emergency prevention, and resources, and all this requires workers. In addition, you won’t even get access to some functions and buildings until you increase the number of residents. Of course, players can buy a pack of Mr. Handies and fill the floors with them, but this is unlikely to be better than dozens of people with high levels in different specializations.

All the Ways To Get More Dwellers in Fallout Shelter

Dwellers in Fallout Shelter

To get more Dwellers in Fallout Shelter, players can use one of the following methods:

  • Increasing the population of dwellers by using existing residents.
  • Get them from Lunchboxes.
  • After foraying into the Wastelands, your Dweller may bring in a new resident.
  • Receive them as guests after Radio Studio broadcasts.
  • Rarely, as a reward for completing quests.

Mating Dwellers in Your Shelter

The easiest and most reliable way to get several new Dwellers into your shelter is the most natural. You only need to place a woman and a man not involved in work in the vault’s Living Rooms. After a short chat, they will go into a closed room. After some time, they will return, and the woman will be pregnant. After another eight hours, she will give birth to a child who will become the new Dweller.

It is worth noting that the characters need some time to rest after this, so you should not send them back to the love bed after childbirth. It is also important to clarify that there cannot be connections between relatives in Fallout Shelter. By placing one of the parents and their adult child in a room, they will only chat a little, thereby spending time with the family, but nothing more will happen.

Luck and Lunchboxes

Having children is a simple and reliable method, but it does not always guarantee high-level characters. On the contrary, Lunchboxes almost always provide only the best. By opening this mystery box, you can get Dwellers as a reward on your Fifth card.

But the chance of getting Rare Dweller is 21.2%, and Legendary Dweller is 3.8%, so don’t expect too much population growth with this method. However, this is still faster than trying to get at least one Mr. Handy.

A post-apocalyptic setting adds a certain uniqueness to a game. These titles left an everlasting impression on gamers.

Guests from Wastelands

By sending your Dwellers on a foray into the Wastelands, they can bring not only caps, weapons, and supplies but also new residents who will want to become new Dwellers of your shelter. But to resort to this method, you must spend 1,000 caps to build an Overseer’s office of at least the first level.

The residents who come can have completely different skills and levels, so it all depends on luck. But unlike the previous options, you can refuse guests and not let them into the shelter if their skills do not meet your requirements.

Radio Studio Broadcasts

Once you reach 20 Dwellers, you can build a Radio Studio by spending 600 caps. The level of this room and the Charisma of the character assigned to it are essential in attracting more high-level characters from the wasteland. At the same time, as in the previous method, you can refuse to accept guests if they do not meet your requirements.

In addition, consider the fact that Radio Studio broadcasts can attract not only new residents but also raiders and deathclaws. Therefore, having armed guards at the shelter entrance for several days after broadcasts would be an excellent precaution.

Quests

Quests often reward players with caps, Lunchboxes, weapons, and equipment but can sometimes offer high-level Dwellers. This method is probably the least effective of all the options on our list. Still, a free Dweller with high stats can greatly help when needed.
