Fighting Souls Players Have Until November 30 To Claim Free Skin

With the launch of Phoenix Cyclops as the first DLC character for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, Arc System Works is celebrating by giving away a free costume, but players will need to act fast to claim it. Although the launch window of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls hasn’t always been a smooth ride, there seems to be a renewed sense of optimism as the first DLC character has finally arrived into the game.

In fact, the first full year is set to be a busy one as Arc System Works revealed a full Year 1 DLC roadmap for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. While it’s certainly possible that more freebies will be handed out over the coming months, from a premium DLC perspective, players are getting 1 character release per season, as well as a new map based on the Symbiote home world of Klyntar. Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor is next up this Winter, while Venom will be launching in Spring 2027, and Jubilee ends year 1 with a Summer 2027 launch. However, in the meantime, ArcSys has a special surprise for players.

Marvel Tokon Giving Away Free Phoenix Five Cosmetic for Magik

Following the launch of Phoenix Cyclops to Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls as the first planned DLC character, Arc System Works announced a new giveaway on its social channels. In celebration and as a way to thank fans for their continued support, players can snag a free cosmetic outfit for Magik. The new outfit is a brand-new look based on her time as part of the Phoenix Five, which ties directly into this unique version of Scott Summers. Phoenix Magik features a red and black outfit with gold accents, matching the standard look of Phoenix Cyclops in-game as well as her original comic version.

How to Claim The Phoenix Five Costume for Magik

The free outfit for Magik is only available for a limited time, as the ability to claim it comes to an end on November 30. Prior to that date, players will need to visit the in-game notification center, where the option to download it should be. To get there, players will need to access it from the game’s main menu or by using the Quick Menu option. PlayStation Plus subscribers on the PS5 version may also find the “Old School” Color Pack waiting for them as well if they have not yet downloaded it.

Response to the free gift has been very positive, with players praising Arc System Works for not simply making a simple color palate swap. The download also gives players access to an Avatar version to use in Marvel Tokon‘s Arcadia Rumble and Open Lobby modes. Not only that, the Phoenix Five cosmetic also comes with 8 different color swaps similar to other cosmetic outfits, letting players really customize the look of their team.

While the new Magik skin was a welcomed surprise for players, it isn’t the first time ArcSys has given away free content. PlayStation Plus subscribers have been on the receiving end of free content, including a DLC pack that became available at launch with 5 character avatars and a special result screen with 20 characters. In addition, the previously mentioned Old School pack can be downloaded by subscribers to unlock a retro-inspired, PS1-inspired color variant for all 20 base characters. All players were even treated to a special cross-promotion event as Wolverine’s Battle Reborn suit was added in celebration of Insomniac’s Marvel’s Wolverine.
