A new bug from the Switch 2 port of Final Fantasy 14 reportedly granted users who play as the Au Ra character race a way to change their horn colors, which is not normally possible in the game. Final Fantasy 14 is now available on Switch 2 in an early access state for approximately one month.
Final Fantasy 14 Bug Allows Switch 2 Players to Change Au Ra Horn Colors
Shortly after a hotfix was deployed to fix Final Fantasy 14‘s load times on Switch 2, a new bug has made the rounds on social media. According to a post by Reddit user Harsh-Critic on the Final Fantasy 14 subreddit, the horn colors of Au Ra character models have erroneously been tied to face paint colors after selecting face paint that dyes a character’s eyebrows. While Au Ra characters usually have black or white scales, the bug allows players to instead have horns in colors such as green, blue, or red. Since the upcoming Evercold expansion will give players access to new skin tone and hair color options, it is plausible that the Au Ra horn color bug is a leftover from internal testing that has not yet been removed from FF14‘s Switch 2 game client.
