Final Fantasy 14 fans will not want to skip April 17, as Square Enix will air Letter From the Producer Live Part 92 on that day. Final Fantasy 14 producer and director Naoki Yoshida will share some gameplay and a preview of the rewards players can earn during the game’s upcoming 7.5 content patch.
The next Live Letter broadcast will take place in the middle of a busy month for Final Fantasy 14 and its players. In early April, Final Fantasy 14 made an important change to the Online Store, as players can now buy more kinds of gifts for their friends with real money. The new items that players can buy as a gift include mounts, minions, orchestrion rolls, and some housing decorations. However, account-wide items remain ineligible for gifting as of this writing.
Final Fantasy 14 Will Share More Patch 7.5 Details Soon
Amid April’s slate of events, Final Fantasy 14 players will have one more broadcast to tune into concerning the game’s immediate future. Final Fantasy 14‘s Letter from the Producer Live Part 92 airs on Friday, April 17, at 7:00 AM Eastern, on Twitch and YouTube. Yoshida will be joined by global community producer Toshio Murouchi during the show. The Live Letter will cover more details about Final Fantasy 14′s Patch 7.5 content update, which will be split into four parts throughout 2026. The first chunk of Final Fantasy 14‘s 7.5 update will arrive on Tuesday, April 28. The upcoming patch will include more main story quests, with a new dungeon and a trial battle for players to take on. Additionally, the final alliance raid based on Final Fantasy 11, titled Windurst: The Third Walk, will give groups of 24 players some new challenges to overcome and plenty of loot to earn.
Final Fantasy 14‘s 7.5 update, titled Trail to the Heavens, will be the final major content patch of the Dawntrail expansion. During the Live Letter, some gameplay of Patch 7.5’s new features will likely be shown off. A new Limited Job, the Beastmaster, will likely have a dedicated gameplay segment during the 92nd Live Letter broadcast. Additionally, players can expect a trailer featuring snippets from the upcoming content patch, though it remains to be seen what facets will be shown. Along with the story content, FF14‘s next patch will make changes to the game’s dye and Armoire systems. The Armoire will be expanded to allow more Job-themed armor sets and dungeon armor sets to be deposited, which will free up some valuable inventory space. Final Fantasy 14‘s numerous dyes will also be consolidated into three new dye items, which will free up even more inventory slots.
One Big Thing Likely Won’t Be Shown at The Live Letter
Sometime during the Patch 7.5 release cycle, Final Fantasy 14 will add the game’s seventh Ultimate Raid challenge at a yet-undetermined date. However, fans looking to hear the theme of the mysterious Ultimate Raid will have to wait a little longer. During the 91st Live Letter broadcast, which aired on March 13, Yoshida asked fans to wait until the Anaheim FanFest to hear about the new Ultimate Raid. The Anaheim FanFest will be held April 24 and 25, with the Keynote address starting on Friday, April 24, at 1:00 PM Eastern. Although the main focus of FanFest will be on Final Fantasy 14‘s next expansion, time will tell what the theme of the next Ultimate Raid will be.
