Final Fantasy 14 launched Patch 7.51 on June 2, which brought a new Ultimate raid for players to challenge, along with some features for crafters and gatherers to participate in. Final Fantasy 14 Players Have New Activities To Partake In
Final Fantasy 14’s seventh Ultimate raid challenge, called Dancing Mad (Ultimate), stars Final Fantasy 6’s iconic antagonist Kefka Palazzo. Kefka was previously featured in Final Fantasy 14’s Omega: Sigmascape raid series during the Stormblood expansion. This time, the clown-turned-god has returned with more dastardly tricks for raid teams to overcome. Players who have conquered the Arcadion’s AAC Heavyweight M4 (Savage) encounter can unlock Dancing Mad (Ultimate) by speaking to The Wandering Minstrel in Tuliyollal. As of this writing, information about Dancing Mad (Ultimate) is still being discovered as raid teams battle Kefka. It remains to be seen how the rest of the battle will play out. Along with the new raid, Final Fantasy 14 Patch 7.51 temporarily disabled a housing feature that automatically prevented some furnishings from being shown if a player was too far from them. Without this feature, players may experience performance issues in specific houses until Square Enix implements a fix.

Housing
The feature to hide furnishings when the number of furnishings on screen exceeds 400 has been temporarily disabled.
- We wish to sincerely thank everyone who has provided information on the official forum regarding the furnishing display issues detailed here and here.
- Presently, we are continuing to investigate the issue based on reports we have received. Although we have made progress on narrowing down the possible causes, we have yet to ascertain the root cause of the issue.
- To avoid a potentially long-term impact on gameplay, we have chosen to temporarily disable the feature to hide furnishings in Patch 7.51.
- However, given that the feature is necessary to ensure graphical display stability, this provisional measure may negatively impact performance. If you encounter any performance issues, we ask that you consider rearranging furnishings or adjusting your graphics settings as necessary.
- Please note that once we have determined the cause of the issue and implemented a fix, we plan to enable the feature again. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
While in residential areas, if there is a large quantity of outside furnishings in your character’s vicinity, your own outdoor furnishings will be displayed with priority.
New furnishings and orchestrion rolls have been added.
The Manderville Gold Saucer
New Triple Triad cards and new NPC opponents for Triple Triad have been added.
Miscellaneous
New emotes, /eattaco and /devourtaco, have been added.

You find the wandering minstrel ruminating on the curious tale of a phantasmal harlequin. A vile and terrible fiend by any measure, yet the entertainer believes the two of them share at least one artistic quality─a flair for creative flourishes. With every telling of their stories, every rendition of their songs, there is new meaning to be found. Thus are no two performances ever the same. The minstrel’s melody soon transports you to a battlefield in your mind’s eye, but what creative liberties will you contribute to his masterpiece?
- Level Requirement: Disciple of War or Magic level 100
- Party Size: Eight players
- Time Limit: 120 minutes

Upon unlocking Auxesia, players may travel to the star using the Bestways Burrow aetheryte and speaking with Drivingway in Mare Lamentorum (X:21.9 Y:13.2). Auxesia Credits
Players can earn Auxesia credits by participating in stellar missions, or joining mech ops as ground support on Auxesia. These credits can be exchanged for mech op applications while on the star, or used to draw cosmic fortunes. Please note that lunar credits, Phaenna credits, and Oizys credits can only be obtained and used on their respective stars.
Auxesia Exploration Tokens
Auxesia exploration tokens can be exchanged for a special mount. These tokens are awarded upon the completion of EX+ stellar missions, or the newly introduced tool mastery missions detailed further below. Both the tokens themselves and the mount available for exchange can be sold via the market board.
Stellar Successes
Daily Successes
Upon completing the quest “The Forests of Paradise,” credits earned via daily successes will be converted to Auxesia credits. Please note that daily success points can also be accrued on Sinus Ardorum, Phaenna, and Oizys.
Standard Successes
Auxesia-specific entries have been added. Standard success progress for other stars may be viewed via the pulldown menu in the Stellar Successes window.
Starward Standings
Tallying for Starward Standings has been changed, and will now be based on player contributions from stellar and tool mastery missions, mech ops, and projects undertaken on Auxesia. Players can check their current standing by speaking with Scanningway on Auxesia (X:26.8 Y:28.7). Contributions made in Sinus Ardorum, Phaenna, and Oizys will not count towards your contribution score.
Commendation
Star Contributors will be honored for fourteen days in the following ways:
- A hologram of the player will be displayed on Auxesia (X:26.8 Y:29.0).
- The player’s name will be displayed on the starward standings stela on Auxesia (X:26.8 Y:28.8).
- A special visual effect will be applied to the character in cosmic exploration areas.
- Star Contributors cannot be reselected for fourteen days. However, if the current Star Contributor still holds the highest contribution score on the fourteenth day after being selected, they will be designated as Star Contributor again on the following day. Commendations received on Auxesia will not apply to Sinus Ardorum, Phaenna, or Oizys.
Tool Mastery Missions
Tool mastery missions are special missions that can be undertaken on Auxesia by those who have completed the final stage of a cosmic tool. Unlike normal stellar missions, the aim is to achieve the highest possible score within an allotted time. Tool mastery points are granted upon completion of a tool mastery mission, in accordance with the final score.
Tool Mastery Points
Tool mastery points are gained in accordance with scores from tool mastery missions and accumulate for each individual class. Reaching certain milestones with a specific class will grant achievements and, in some cases, titles. Current points can be checked via the mission selection list, or via an overview found in the tool mastery point section of the Cosmic Class Tracker, accessed from your exotablet.
Mission Scoring
There are two different score objectives in tool mastery missions.
You may choose to complete the mission at any point after reaching the first objective. Mission completion will reward you with tool mastery points, a cosmic class score, and contributions to Starward Standings commensurate with your score. Cosmic credits, Auxesia credits, and Auxesia exploration tokens will also be rewarded.
Reaching either score objective will grant the following bonus effects:
- Time limit increase
- Score multiplier increase
- Duty action usage increase
- GP recovery
There are three tool mastery missions available per class, with a high score recorded for each completed mission.
Cosmic tools can now be further enhanced.
By participating in cosmic exploration, players can obtain class-specific tools for Disciples of the Hand and Land which can be enhanced.
Enhancing Cosmic Tools
By completing stellar missions, players will obtain research data critical for tool enhancement. Cosmic tools do not need to be equipped to accrue research data. Players can confirm required research via “Cosmic Research” on the exotablet.
Once players have accrued sufficient research data, they may report to Researchingway on the star on which they currently reside. Doing so will allow players to obtain enhanced prototypes and cosmic tools. While players may obtain numerous cosmic prototypes and tools, research data can only be accrued via stellar missions for any given class.
The music played while a red alert is in effect on Phaenna has been changed.
Custom Deliveries
Players can now speak with Tiisol Ja to complete custom deliveries.
