The Moogle Treasure Trove is coming back to Final Fantasy 14 at the end of March, as players will have four weeks to earn a special currency that can be exchanged for rare and unique prizes. The upcoming Final Fantasy 14 event will last until the release of Patch 7.5, Trail to the Heavens, in late April.

Before every major patch, Final Fantasy 14 usually hosts a Moogle Treasure Trove event as a way to give players some incentive to run older dungeons, trials, and raids to complete different objectives. By completing set challenges and objectives in the Mogpendium, Final Fantasy 14 players will earn Irregular Tomestones that can be traded to an Itinerant Moogle in Limsa Lominsa, Ul’dah, or Gridania. The Irregular Tomestones and prizes change with each Moogle Treasure Trove event, and can range from exclusive glamours to mounts and other cosmetics that would otherwise be more difficult to obtain.

Final Fantasy 14’s Moogle Treasure Trove Returns Soon

As Final Fantasy 14 players prepare for the next major content patch, Square Enix revealed one final event that will last until the 7.5 update goes live. The upcoming Moogle Treasure Trove: The Hunt for Aphorism event kicks off on Tuesday, March 31, at 4:00 AM Eastern, and ends on Tuesday, April 28, with the release of Patch 7.5, Trail to the Heavens. Ergo, FF14 players have four weeks to complete various Moogle Treasure Trove objectives and obtain a special currency called Irregular Tomestones of Aphorism. The most expensive prizes for the upcoming Moogle Treasure Trove event are the Miner’s Earring, which costs 100 Irregular Tomestones, and mounts like the Emerald Gwiber, which cost 50 Irregular Tomestones. Players who have not obtained the Emerald Gwiber from Final Fantasy 14‘s Castrum Marinum (Extreme) trial can use the Moogle Treasure Trove event to claim this elusive, draconic prize. Irregular Tomestones of Aphorism can still be traded until Patch 7.55 launches in late July, though earning them can only be done between March 31 and April 28.

Irregular Tomestones can be obtained by completing the Weekly Objective and the Minimog Challenge once per week, with the Weekly Objective offering different objectives per player. However, the largest yield of Irregular Tomestones will come from the Ultimog Challenge, which can only be completed once per Moogle Treasure Trove event. The previous two Moogle Treasure Trove campaigns, which took place in the latter half of 2025, tasked Final Fantasy 14 players with completing the Sil’dihn Subterrane and Mount Rokkon Variant Dungeons. Should this pattern hold, the upcoming Moogle Treasure Trove event could task players with completing Aloalo Island, the game’s third Variant Dungeon. It is worth noting that Square Enix could also offer a different objective for the Ultimog Challenge, so players should check the Mogpendium once the Moogle Treasure Trove campaign is active.

April Is The Best Month To Return To Final Fantasy 14

The first few days of the Moogle Treasure Trove will have some overlap with Final Fantasy 14‘s annual Hatching-tide festivities. Based on Easter, the Hatching-tide holiday is currently ongoing in the forest city of Gridania. Players who complete the quest “Of Weeds and Whimsy” will be rewarded with the Party Eggy Eyeglasses. Other Hatching-tide cosmetics can be claimed by participating in a seasonal dungeon called “Sprig Cleaning” and trading in Special Brilliant Eggs obtained from it.

Final Fantasy 14‘s Moogle Treasure Trove will arrive one month before Patch 7.5, Trail to the Heavens, arrives. Final Fantasy 14′s 7.5 update will be the last major content patch of the Dawntrail expansion, and should set the tone for the game’s 8.0 expansion. FF14‘s next patch will add the final Echoes of Vana’diel alliance raid, new main story quests, and some upgrades to the game’s housing and dye systems. Between all the in-game events, and the Anaheim FanFest on April 24 and 25, Final Fantasy 14 players are in for quite a busy month ahead.
