We just got our biggest look at Final Fantasy VII Revelation yet this morning during the State of Play, but one of the more illuminating reveals didn’t come from a PlayStation showcase, but the game’s Steam page, which has revealed the game will be getting a story expansion pass and at least two DLCs after it launches on April 8.
The Story Expansion Pass reveals two story DLCs, one starring Sephiroth and the other focusing on Vincent Valentine. They will both apparently launch between Winter 2027 and Spring 2028, but there’s not much in the way of details about what they’ll focus on. The Vincent chapter at least makes mention of The Turks, which is a faction Vincent belonged to before the events of Final Fantasy VII, so it may be a prequel, or at least dig into his past in some way.
Though there’s no listed price for the new content, the full description of the Story Expansion Pass is as follows:
FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION‘s Story Expansion Pass. This product includes Accessory: Reclaimant Choker & Survival Set, Story DLC 1: Sephiroth, and Story DLC 2: Vincent & the Turks.
– Accessory: Reclaimant Choker & Survival Set (An accessory that slightly restores HP when enemies are defeated and a set of items that will aid you during the early stages of your journey.)
– Story DLC 1: Sephiroth
– Story DLC 2: Vincent & the Turks* The Story Expansion Pass will also be available for individual purchase after the release of FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION.
