Blizzard has officially revealed the first three Diablo 5 classes at BlizzCon. After the surprising announcement earlier in the day that the next Diablo game is coming in 2029, Blizzard continued the fun by confirming a few classes that players will be able to play as in the game.

First Three Diablo 5 Classes Revealed

During the Diablo 5: Forging the Next Era panel at BlizzCon 2026, the developer revealed the game’s first three classes: Demon Hunter, Monk, and Plague Knight. It also promised “Diablo’s largest class roster to date, with even more to come in the coming years. Given that the game is still at least three years out, it’s of little surprise that Blizzard is still holding back some surprises for the future.

All Diablo 5 Classes

  • Demon Hunter: The Demon Hunter returns to stalk the forces of Hell with twin crossbows, striking from the shadows and leaping across the battlefield to annihilate their prey.
  • Monk: The Monk brings martial perfection back to Sanctuary, battering demons to a pulp with fists and calling down holy power to smite those who stand in their path.
  • Plague Knight: The all-new Plague Knight is the embodiment of walking death. They roam the battlefield, spreading disease and pestilence, ultimately consuming it for power.

Diablo veterans will immediately recognize the Demon Hunter and Monk from both Diablo 3 and Immortal. However, the Plague Knight is an entirely new Diablo class, with Blizzard giving players something fresh and exciting already, so far away from release. Given that players can expect the biggest class roster on launch, it’s fair to say that even more familiar classes will be revealed when Blizzard is ready.
