The final World of Warcraft: Forever update before launch later today has been released, and it confirms the best races and classes in the game. Despite the game’s official beta being limited in terms of access, duration, and scope, as it was only accessible for a month to Skyborne Epic Pack owners and up to level 30, Blizzard has been making a lot of changes to classes and races even after testing ended. World of Warcraft: Forever‘s latest patch was revealed by Blizzard, and now a lot more changes have been made.

Recently, World of Warcraft: Forever nerfed Druid and Mage in a patch, and confirmed most of those changes in the final launch patch notes. However, there were even more changes in the mix, and now Feral and Balance Druid are doing better than they were immediately after the nerfs. Unfortunately, Frost Mage is one of the worst specs in PvE in terms of pure DPS, though things may change with new items and build opportunities in the endgame.

World of Warcraft: Forever Officially Reveals Best Three Races and Classes Before Launch

With the final patch notes for the game coming out before launch, it’s now clear what the best classes in World of Warcraft: Forever are, and what the best races are. In terms of DPS parses, as reported on mythicsim.com, the best classes are Hunter, Paladin, and Shaman, and the best races for optimal DPS are Night Elf, Human, and Skyborne. The parses are not necessarily final because levels 31 through 60 couldn’t be tested on the beta, but they keep current optimal builds, gear, and talents in mind when calculating DPS. In this case, the single best spec is Survival Hunter, dealing the most damage in the game, followed by Retribution Paladin, Enhancement Shaman, the new Shockadin Paladin build, and Marksmanship Hunter. Night Elves can achieve the highest burst DPS thanks to Elune’s Light increasing crit chance by 10% for 15 seconds. Humans have 1% extra crit chance for all spells and attacks at base, with an additional boost from 10% extra Spirit. Finally, Skyborne have 2% increased Haste and extra damage to Elementals, and they can get powerful boons like extra movement speed or more Health and Mana regen.

While these changes refer to the best races and classes in terms of DPS in PvE, that is obviously not the full picture. For example, Tauren now gain incremental movement speed up to 60%, which could make this race much more valuable for speedy leveling than a 2% crit damage buff could. Before, World of Warcraft: Forever‘s best race was Undead and it was nerfed, with Touch of the Grave proccing every 25 seconds. This has somewhat changed again, and the passive now has a cooldown of 15 seconds, making Undead much better. Rogues received significant changes too, and they’re now possibly the best PvP race due to a talent called Quick Getaway that allows players to Sap up to two targets at once, making this class invaluable in group PvP scenarios.

Find the odd one out before the timer hits zero.

World of Warcraft: Forever launches today at 3 pm PST or 6 pm EST, and both fans and Blizzard itself have been hyping up the game’s official release. Fans are hoping no issues will arise on launch, and Blizzard most likely learned something from the beta after it had to increase server caps multiple times.

As if launch wasn’t enough, a new World of Warcraft: Forever leak details expansion and playable races coming in the future. The release, allegedly called Shadows of Lordaeron, will feature Gilneas as a new zone, playable Worgen for the Alliance, and Darkfallen Elves for the Horde.
