There are many ways to play Fortnite; fans who would rather enjoy the game alone can play solos, but those who prefer to play with others can play duos, trios, or squads, or even enter other game modes and turn on the Fill option. Gamers can talk to their fellow teammates through the in-game voice chat. Unfortunately, they might eventually encounter some unpleasant players, which is why Epic Games added the Voice Reporting feature to Fortnite.
Fortnite Battle Royale: Tips and Tricks to Victory
Struggling to get Victory Royale in Fortnite? Here are some essential tips and tricks for winning a match.
This guide will tell players everything they need to know about Voice Reporting in Fortnite, including how to do it as well as how to deactivate this feature in order to prevent automatic voice chat captures.
How to Toggle Voice Reporting On/Off
Epic Games server won’t automatically keep players’ voice recordings; it will only be able to access a recording if gamers send in a voice report. Nevertheless, players who don’t feel comfortable with this can set their preferences in settings.
To change the Voice Reporting settings in Fortnite, players must access the Account and Privacy tab in the in-game Settings menu and then select their preference in the Voice Reporting option in the Voice Chat section. Voice Reporting can be set to On or Off When Possible. It is not possible to turn off Voice Reporting entirely; if another member of your party has Voice Reporting on, the game will inevitably record the audio between the players’ party.
For safety and security reasons, the Voice Reporting feature cannot be switched off for underage players.
The only way that players can prevent their voice chat audio from being captured in Fortnite is to keep their mics off, turn off voice chat entirely, or play solo or with friends who don’t have Voice Reporting on.
How to Submit a Voice Report
Fortnite will capture and save the last five minutes of voice audio when Voice Report is turned on. Gamers who would like to submit a voice report must make sure that what they would like to report was said within the past five minutes. Otherwise, the game will continue recording and delete the previous audio capture.
To voice report in Fortnite, players must open the sidebar while in a party or game channel, and then they must open the Voice Chat tab, press the Report Conversation button, and submit it.
