Multiple Fortnite dataminers have said that Fall Guys-inspired minigames are coming to Epic’s battle royale mode as part of a crossover event. The previously leaked Fortnite collaboration is expected to launch sometime this summer.

Beginning in late 2023, Fortnite dataminers began to encounter Fall Guys-themed files that mentioned the game’s “Beans” characters and some sort of minigame. These discoveries were made around the same time that Fortnite leakers were finding evidence of major new modes separate from Epic’s standard battle royale, like LEGO Fortnite and Rocket Racing, which naturally led many to assume that the Fall Guys mode would get the same treatment, but that seems not to be the case.

Fortnite dataminers Hypex, Loolo_Wrld, and Wensoing say the Fall Guys minigames will be playable during a standard battle royale match. Users can interact with these obstacle courses mid-game, which will turn them into a Fall Guys Bean and pit them against other players. Those who win a course will apparently receive bonus XP and valuable loot. The dataminers compared the feature to Chapter 2 Season 7’s Mothership, which players could enter to complete a unique minigame that rewarded winners with a Legendary Vault. It’s still unclear how many courses will be available in each match, how many players can participate in a race, and what exactly the rewards are, but this information will likely be revealed in greater detail as the Fall Guys crossover approaches, assuming these leaks are accurate.

When Could These Fall Guys Minigames Come to Fortnite?

A recently leaked Fortnite 2024 roadmap put the Fall Guys event’s release date in late May or early June, followed by Metallica and Pirates of the Caribbean collaborations later in the summer. However, the roadmap’s validity has not been confirmed yet.

As for other new leaks, Fortnite‘s vehicles are apparently getting a hijacking mechanic in Chapter 5 Season 3, which seems to have an apocalyptic, Mad Max-like theme according to the leaked roadmap. However, if the leaks are accurate, it doesn’t seem that players will be jumping from car to car as seen in the popular movie franchise, but will instead be limited to hijacking that is similar to Grand Theft Auto.

Another Fortnite leak claims that the Item Shop could receive a new “Billboard” feature very soon. Apparently, Epic Games internally tested the feature to advertise a new Leia Organa skin that will be added on May 3 with Fortnite‘s Star Wars event, which is when fans could see Billboards for the first time.
