New rumors circulating online suggest that Fortnite might be gearing up for a crossover with The Boys in the near future. Developed by Epic Games, Fortnite has established itself as one of the titans of the battle royale genre, with much of that success coming from its extensive roster of collaborations. The game has featured iconic franchises such as Star Wars, Marvel, and DC, alongside appearances from global music stars such as Travis Scott and Ariana Grande, as well as popular anime series.

However, if there’s one franchise that players have long been eager to see enter Fortnite, it’s The Boys. As one of Amazon Prime’s most acclaimed and widely watched shows, many fans have felt that a crossover between the two could take both franchises to new heights. The interest in the collaboration has only grown stronger recently, given that Invincible has also made its way into Fortnite. While Epic Games has yet to make any official announcements, it seems like fans’ long-awaited wish is inally becoming a reality.

Fortnite Adds a Highly Requested Feature

Epic Games surprises Fortnite fans by adding a highly requested feature to the popular battle royale in the latest update for Chapter 6 Season 1.

Fortnite x The Boys Crossover Might Happen Soon

Over on Twitter, reputable insider SamLeakss has claimed that a Fortnite x The Boys crossover is currently in development. While no official release date has been confirmed, the leaker claims the collaboration may arrive later in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 and might also feature car cosmetics. Based on past crossovers, players expect Epic Games to introduce character skins from the series, including the likes of Homelander, Billy Butcher, Soldier Boy, and others. However, it’s crucial to take these claims with a grain of salt, as the developer hasn’t stated anything about such a collaboration.

Fans have always hoped to see The Boys make its way into Fortnite, but the interest isn’t limited to players alone. Back in 2020, Jack Quaid, who plays Hughie Campbell in the Amazon series, revealed that he frequently played Fortnite during the COVID-19 pandemic alongside co-star Jessie T. Usher. Quaid noted that the game’s universe felt like a natural fit for the show’s characters, especially in the form of skins, and expressed an interest in seeing a crossover happen. Some players thought that, due to the show’s mature tone, the collaboration might never happen, but the arrival of Invincible, which follows a similar theme, proves that it’s very much possible.

If the crossover does end up happening, it wouldn’t be the first time the series has teamed up with a major gaming franchise. The Boys has previously collaborated with Call of Duty, Rainbow Six Siege, and Mortal Kombat. All of these crossovers were well received by fans and brought a lot of attention to the games. Many players across social media platforms like Reddit and Twitter believe a Fortnite collaboration can achieve similar success.

It’s interesting to note that this isn’t the only rumored project that the Fortnite developer seems to be working on. Reports suggest that Epic Games may be working with Disney on a new extraction shooter. The genre has seen a surge in popularity in recent months, thanks to the likes of ARC Raiders and Marathon. While details about this project remain scarce, Disney’s vast library of franchises and characters offers a lot of potential for something ambitious.
