The upcoming racing adventure game, which is set during the New Republic era and takes place after the events of Return of the Jedi, will be releasing for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and pre-orders are now available for those platforms. Players will be able to choose between the game’s standard edition, which is on offer for $59.99, or the enhanced Deluxe Edition, which costs $79.99.
Along with showing off more intense racing action, the trailer also reveals some of the bonus content that Star Wars fans can expect to see in the Deluxe Edition, and a few special in-game rewards they can get for pre-ordering. Deluxe Edition content includes three exclusive Star Wars vehicles in the Kor Sarun: Ciza T speeder bike, the Kor Sarun: Darc X landspeeder, and the Kor Sarun: Rak S skim speeder. Deluxe Edition buyers will also be able to deck out any of their racing machines with a livery that matches the aesthetic of the Naboo N-1 Starfighter, get their hands on an exclusive player banner, and browse through images of some iconic designs with a special digital art book. Additionally, they’ll gain special access to three challenging arcade events.
Meanwhile, players who pre-order either edition of the game will be in for a few pieces of bonus content as well. All pre-order customers will receive a second bonus repulsorcraft livery and some additional banners that can be utilized in multiplayer mode as they live out some iconic podracing moments with up to 11 other players in cross-platform online matches. Star Wars: Galactic Racer will also offer full craft customization, online Galactic League leaderboards, a story-driven campaign mode, and the potential for PvP grudge matches.
